Booked in very quickly and had room 111 for a single night only using it for a stop on route to York. I could not fault it, very clean and tidy, a decent amount of tea/coffee facilities and shower/hair wash bottles. There was a small wall hung television and a few welcomed chairs too. The highlight of the stay was the beautiful view over the lake so room 111 offers this. Subway takeaway is directly next door and there are ample places dotted within minutes away, McDonald's, Brewers Fayre and a few superstores as well as much more. It's a few minutes from the M18 and about 15 minutes from the A1. Visited 26th of December 2025.

Very convenient location, close to a nice pizza restaurant. Nice views over the lake, close to lots of nice shops.

I usually have an alright sleep at a Travelodge, it's budget friendly. Location was accessible and generally clean. Got an impromptu hotel closer to a wedding venue we were attending the following morning and wish I just drove 4 hours down the same day. Throughout the night, other residents' doors were seemingly revolving, constantly in and out and making a racket until 4am, people were shouting outside under the influence (I kept looking out the window to check my car was alright). Could also hear people moving upstairs in the rooms above. Very poor night sleep, hope this was a one off.

Having used many Travelodge’s in the past, lakeside has been the best. Recently refurbished in July as you would expect everything was spot on. Beautiful view over lake and wonderful Italian restaurant down below along with subways as well. Ver quiet and peaceful. Staff very attentative and couldn’t do enough for us.

Tip top accommodation, tip top reception with Vaughan making us feel at home with endless tea/ coffee requirements, The Travel lodge, Doncaster @ Lakeside Boulevard is a great place to unwind, Value for money 10 /10. Views of the Lake are outstanding. Well done 👏 Travel Lodge & your team.

I loved the scenery that the window i had, had to offer and was blessed by a sunrise coming over the surface of the lake and the trees in the little woodland were beautiful to see, and the room was well kept, and the service they gave was spectacular and I was so greatful to have such an amazing front of house at the reception.

Stayed here for one night, highly recommend. Lots of parking, remember to register the car at reception as soon as park. Staff pleasant and helpful, especially Vaughan who checked us in. Room was at the back overlooking the beautiful lake. The room looked newly decorated, had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable, had a very good nights sleep. For a Travelodge first timer, we were impressed.
