Stayed overnight with husband , granddaughter and our dog. I booked a family room and was pleasantly surprised at how big it was. The staff were very welcoming, the room was clean , well aired and warm. I would definitely stay again

The lodge was very easy to find, located just off a roundabout on the A361, four miles from Barnstaple. Parking was generous and well laid out - the disabled bays were immediately in front of Reception (I have a blue Badge and hobble with a stick). The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming; the staff were polite and friendly as well as being efficient and competent. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed with spotless on-suite facilities. The bed was impressively comfortable and, as the noise level was almost zero, we enjoyed two nights of excellent sleep. In short: good service and value-for-money. My sole minor quibble was a difference of opinion with the WiFi system when logging in to pre-paid access...it asked me to pay again! It was resolved and we happily used our two laptops. The purpose of our visit was a "chill-out"writing weekend. I am an amatuer and my friend is a published author. It was quite successful. The proximity of a MacDonalds and a KFC was very convenient.

A great place to stay when visiting Barnstable, just under a 10-minute drive from town. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the staff were friendly. Having a mini supermarket at the service station nearby was really handy, plus there are eight fast EV chargers and two fast-food options right there.

We stayed at Barnstaple for a three night break using the Roundswell Travel Lodge, which is located a five minute car journey from Town. The number 19 bus runs half hourly from the local Sainsburys into Barnstaple Bus Station, where many places are accessible at regular intervals. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped for our needs, there was no noise of note and car parking was free and plentiful. If you are looking for an affordable break in a location that gives good access to the region, i would recommend this Travelodge. Scott and his team were polite and on hand when/if required.

Lovely rooms always very clean the morning cleaners are very respectful as are all staff. Just want to say thankyou to Steven for going above and beyond to help me and my missus when we were abit confused and needed a bit of help. So thankyou and he definitky deserves a big old raise for putting up with us thankyou Steven your a legend bruvva

When you live on the road I would usually like 3 things: slick check in, a smile and a clean room. Katie was really pleasant and just keeps smiling at everyone who checks in. When you’ve been on the road for hours that can make a difference. The room was huge and spotless and to my surprise was the quietest room I've stopped in for a while (considering its on the services). Good location to town and easy access to all routes

Friendly staff who are always willing to help and were always there if you needed any local information. Great warm welcome when you arrive. Stayed in an Accessible Room, which was really suitable with a wet room and lower beds.

I was staying here for one night to go surfing in Croyde. Trying to sleep there was a really noisy fan sound. It turns out they have one sole extract fan that is in need of being fixed. It’s one fan for all of the bathrooms so can’t be switched off per room. I went to Reception and asked to move rooms but the receptionist told me it’s the same noise in all rooms and it went on all night. I moved the mattress off the bed to a quieter side of the room but then was kept awake by people outside the window smoking at 3am. Other than that, the hotel was ok, the staff were nice, but there’s clearly an issue with the extract fan which needs replacing.
