Thank you to the gentleman working on reception on the 28th (evening check in). And the lady on the morning of the 1st March (check out). Both were so lovely and made our stay. Also special thank you to the cleaners, our room was spotless. Thank you all.

Problem is that they allow dogs in the rooms! Sometimes the rooms stink even after they have been cleaned, and after I asked for a room that dogs were supposedly not allowed in. I saw the size of some of the dogs that stay in the rooms with their owners when they were all outside!! Terrible, and the these dogs sit on the beds etc, and the fleas go into the quilt and mattress. Most dogs have fleas or microscopic mites. Apart from all of that the rooms would be fine. I used to stay there, but have been put off by above.

A nice quiet hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by your lovely receptionist who booked us in. The room was very clean and tidy and as mentioned very quiet. We had a lovely night stay

Absolutely fantastic! After a not‑so‑great experience with a competitor hotel, I was a bit apprehensive about trying this one — but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. The room was spacious, spotless, quiet, and, importantly for me, had no adjoining door (which had been an issue at the previous hotel). When I spoke with the manager the next day, it was clear how much pride she takes in ensuring that lone travellers feel comfortable and safe. I really appreciated being given a room close to reception, which added an extra sense of security. Overall, this is a great little spot, and I’ll definitely be staying again — especially with the added bonus of the takeaway breakfast. Such a bargain!

Hey, we had a 1 night stay over whilst on our way from Clacton on sea to the Isle of Wight and I must say what an absolute delight. The lady who checked us in, unfortunately I didn’t catch a name but she was great and then this morning we met Sharon who was equally great, very warm and welcoming. The room was great, bed was amazing and the price, £31. All round amazing start to our holiday, thank you ladies and thank you travelodge ❤️

As a single parent family I felt safe with my children in this hotel. The night staff was amazing and friendly. The morning staff just as friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We were greeted by helpful, informative and friendly staff offering information on local facilities etc to enhance our stay. Our double room was spacious, simply furnished and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. We had excellent value for money having only paid £33 for the night, no noisy air conditioning to worry about, our room was warm and quiet. We will definitely use again.
