Clean and tidy, but the man on front desk duty on arrival shouldn’t be customer facing - he was miserable, unwelcoming and standoffish. However, Stuart in the evenings was amazing, so helpful, so friendly and so pleasant, he really turned the trip around for us!

The hotel was perfectly situated for us (driving down to Portsmouth for the ferry). We stayed on the ground floor close to reception and had no problems with noise. The room was clean and comfortable and had all the usual amenities (tea, coffee etc). Check in was friendly and everything was explained to us expertly by the young lady on reception. We had booked a meal deal (great value) that included evening meal (plus a drink) and a cooked breakfast (continental is provided as well) for two. This was situated in the pub adjacent to the car park and the food was excellent (and hot). Overall our stay was great and would definitely book this hotel again.

Great stay, welcoming staff, clean spacious room and great eateries and bars within walking distance. Car park is free and breakfast is in the pub just the other side of the car park. Ian at reception was particularly helpful. Would definitely stay again

Great stay. Location perfect for what we needed. Local transport was easy to use and very regular. Some nice local bars too. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and warm.

Stayed here for Christmas visiting family. Lovely treats in room for kids Staff amazing. Room clean. And big family room for the 4 of us. Happy to return again. Lovely location

Booked a room for over 2 weeks but i missed a date somehow ans sara picked this up and brought to our attention and ahe managed to save us money and keep the same room. Gave the kids treats in their stay and looked after us parents us. She went above and beyond for us. Credit to the company. Thank you so much hope you enjoyed your chocolates
