It was mixed bag , no great concerns but some basic issues related to cleanliness and pillows were not in great condition

I have stayed at this Premier Inn many times with no problems at all. However this last stay was not good. I was allocated room 54 in the Annex. On entering the room it was so cold I had to keep my coat on. I tried to increase the temperature by means of the Thermostat but was not successful. At reception I reported this problem and the maintenance man said he would attend to it immediately. Apparently the Heater had been switched off. At this point I was leaving the Inn to meet family and on my return much later in the evening the heating was on but the room was still cool and I still couldn’t increase the temperature with the thermostat. Also the heating went off between 10 and 11 leaving the room extremely cold. It was so cold I put my Puffer coat over the bottom part of the bed. In the morning at 6:00 the heating came back on and every 12 seconds the heater gave off an extremely loud noise as if someone was in the room hitting a tin can. This continued for 30 minutes. Whether or not the Annex is colder than the main building and I think I was in a room with 2 outside walls and the weather had been very cold but this this should not have left me with an uncomfortable cold stay for 2 nights.
