Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and good food all in all it was a good stay and would definitely visit again..

The 2nd time at this hotel. Recently refurbished. Room not ready, and when ready, it had 1 towel for 2 people and the toilet contained a present from a previous guest. Disgusting

Overall a good overnight stay. I think the hotel has had a refurb the room was very good, bathroom too, it has a drench shower. The booking terminal was temperamental and would not read the QR code on my phone, but used another option which worked, I do find that, to me, it makes the place feel souless. The new Restaurant is good and the Breakfast was very good and nicely cooked. The one member of staff who was on was very pleasant and happy, especially on the meet and greet. The location was surprisingly quiet, I would stay here again, as long as the price was right, as on this occasion it was.

We arrived around 8pm. It is quite isolated. Out of town. It was dark and wet, so not ideal for going out and about. Our welcome was not great. We were told we could have no food as we hadn't booked online. We couldn't select breakfast for only one day, so we couldn't have breakfast the next morning either. Therefore, we had to eat snacks from a vending machine. We felt it wasn't too clean and discovered on the 2nd day that it was indeed quite dirty. I didn't have time to complain as I was attending a funeral. Down the front of the toilet was dirty and it was urine spilled down it. The surfaces round the floor area were dirty. The bedding was inadequate and not what I'd expect of normal Premier Inn quality. Flat pillows and duvet. The sheets although clean had tears and marks under the pillows. The pillow protectors were dirty and marked. I chose not to look at the mattress in case it was so awful I'd not be able to sleep on it. Many little bits were not perfectly clean, but it's not expensive at a Premier Inn so perhaps that's why. Good bits were: the coffee machine, cups, glasses, fridge, bottled water, selection of quality teas and coffee, small chocolate bars. Also a beautiful shower, although not spotless, and quality shower products. They had a lovely smell. The staff though pleasant, didn't really want to help. I was shocked they would not allow us to have any dinner, although there was a chef in the kitchen. We did have a couple of drinks in the bar. We won't go back there and will think hard if we should use any Premier Inn again.
