The location was perfect for what we needed, staff were friendly and helpful and room was clean and welcoming. Will be stopping again!

Arrived in reception and waiting over 10 minutes to be greeted by staff. Had to be issued with a time for breakfast. Unable to provide evening meal until 2 hours later, not great after a 6 hour drive! No heating in room, reception staff advised it was faulty but was unable to offer an alternative room. Given 3 small heaters. Bathroom full of mould and smelt damp. Unable to open windows. Breakfast very poor. Very little choice despite it being advertised a buffet style. Item of cooked breakfast dry and only a few items available and had to wait to have it cooked. Not a good experience and would not recommend.

Having stayed in many Premier Inn hotels all over the UK it is safe to say that this one was an absolute disgrace. We arrived quite late in the evening. The outside of the hotel is very lovely. But as soon as the doors open the stale slightly moldy smell hits you. And remains with you till you leave. The room was not a refurbished one. It was shabby and smelly. At first it looked okay until I noticed a fake eyelash on the floor. I threw it in the bin and thought okay let’s forget that. Until I pulled back the duvet. The bed was covered in hair and stains. I went to the reception and the gentleman came to the room to change the sheets. Whilst changing them it became clear that the mattress cover was covered in brown stains. So off he went to find a new one. Whilst waiting I started to change the pillowcases and found one of the pillows had blood stains. He couldn’t find a mattress cover but managed to find two allegedly clean quilts and we made the bed with those. He changed the pillows. The man’s name was Christophe and he saved the situation. He was apologetic, polite and helpful. Whatever he is paid is not enough because he is a huge asset to Premier Inn. Another positive note was the breakfast which was amazing. The chef is a world master in poaching eggs. In fact the staff were the jewel in the crown. But there is nothing that can excuse the abysmal disgusting rancid accommodations. If I were Premier Inn I would disassociate from this place immediately. The cleaners should be let go and the housekeeper needs replacing. Words do not convey the absolute disgust we felt here.

We have stayed at this Premier Inn now many times and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Any issues are quickly dealt with by the staff (but there have been few). We had the breakfast at the attached bar/restaurant and it was fine - definitely value for money. The location is excellent for surrounding walking areas and attractions. The staff are very helpful.

Positives - friendly reception staff when they were around. Very large free car park. Negatives - Room was very hot and air conditioning did not work. Coffee machine broken at breakfast and despite there being a machine behind the bar staff were uwilling to help. Breakfast was very limited and items were not restocked often running our well before breakfast was finished. Restauraunt area was poorly maintained, damp and poorly staffed - those that were there did not seem to be working and were on phones rather than collecting used plates etc. Reception was rarely manned and young men would often push through into the secure area without room keys. When raised with reception they did not seem worried. This made us feel very insecure in our rooms.

Sadly, stayed at this Premier Inn for one night and ended up with a £190 parking fine for 29th and 30th November even thought we had a booking and stayed overnight. Very sad.

Stayed here 7th December, two rooms booked. Was very concerned after reading the reviews but needn’t have been as everything was fine. Check in was friendly and efficient. Room was fine although don’t know why the windows don’t open as surely ventilation is needed at some point. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but had drinks in there and everything was fine. There was a short power cut in the area and staff went out of their way to rectify. All in all a very satisfactory stay

Stayed here for the first time after visiting the wonderful Polar Express. Staff were lovely and friendly but the room and hotel itself isn’t really up to standard. My room had a damp smell with mould all around the windows and over bathroom door. Room was far too hot 🥵 the temperature dial seems to do little to help either. Although on ground floor, the window wouldn’t open. I woke up during the night sweating - it was horrible! Car registration device doesn’t work. Staff advised that we couldn’t book into restaurant that evening as they didn’t have a chef. That was fine with us as we went to the nearby Bull pub for the most fantastic food and atmosphere (highly recommend!) Breakfast wasn’t great. No butter, no mushrooms and I constantly was having to ask staff to replenish food items that were empty. Restaurant was damp and dirty and what breakfast items we did manage to get wasn’t that nice. I won’t be retuning!

I can’t believe Premier Inn a supposedly trusted brand Inn are allowing guests to stay at this hotel. It’s in desperate need of renovation. There was thick black mould on the inside of the window, a wasps nest outside the window, no shower head on the shower, a broken skirting with exposed wires and pillows so flat and worn if you picked them up the folded in half. The staff were doing their best and friendly.
