Beside the A1 this travellodge is so quiet and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and helpful. And a real plus, its one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in!

This hotel is in a very convenient location and there is plenty of free parking. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was large and the bed was comfy. The room was a little warm so we asked for a fan and opened the window. The only issue we found was the corridor to our room smelt funny and when we went in our bathroom there was a horrible smell. The bath drain looked blocked and when we ran the water, loads of stuff came out. After clearing, the issue came back. We didn’t report this as we needed to be out very early so as just kept the door shut. I’m not sure if we would stay again due to this issue.

Lovely clean rooms. Receptionist very pleasant. Would definitely recommend Free and plentiful carpark Greggs and Burger King on site plus a great truck stop within walking distance

I didn't actually end up staying at this hotel as I arrived here by mistake so can't review the facilities, however, on arrival at nearly midnight, Caroline on reception was just what you need, an absolute gem - bubbly, chatty and really helpful. She assisted me with some bits I knew I'd forgotten to pick up as I rushed out of the house, and gave thorough directions to the correct Travelodge (who weren't as friendly).

It is good value for money. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The new sockets for USB charging are really useful, should be standard in all the chain

Tired and very basic. The outside of the hotel needs a good clean up/sweep. Bathroom very tired, towels worn out! Welcome was warm and it’s free parking so a couple of plus points

Excellent stay. Ben on Reception was outstandingly helpful. Room very clean, as was bathroom. Quiet.

The hotel was as it says on the box - clean, comfortable and well located. The staff were helpful and friendly and the service station facilities (Burger King and Greggs) helped. Would have expected the price (nearly £400 for 3 nights) to reflect the lack of facilities though. There was no daily housekeeping (just a top up service), no fridge, no shelves or cupboards for belongings - and no bar or restaurant. This made a stay of more than 24 hours difficult.
