I cannot say anything nice or bad about this hotel as I did not even get to check in. When I made my reservation I clicked on a king non-smoking room that was handicapped accessible. The day before our stay I called to make sure I would be getting thde room I reserved I was told that all of their handicapped rooms were occupied. Since I need a handicapped room I told them since there were non available that I would like to cancel my reservation and to refund my money. They told me that the reservation was non-refundable.

The room we were given had nasty stains on the bed sheets. We were given clean sheets we could change ourselves. There was dust on the walls. The toilet was broke from the floor. We were quoted $71 dollars for the room and the charge on the receipt was $95.

The Super 8 in El Paso, IL is conveniently located near the I-39. For those who want to avoid the hustle bustle of big towns or cities, El Paso is a small quiet town surrounded by farmland. Upon check-in, my special request was honored. I was original given a room with 1-bed, when I reserved two. But the front desk was able to adjust rooms. The motel is basic; rooms are large but lack refrigerators and microwaves. I was in a non-smoking room which was fine, but I did notice hallways in the back end of the motel had a cigarette order. The parking lot is large and can accommodate oversized vehicles (Trucks / RV's). A short drive to the other side of the interstate offers several food options such as Hardee's, McDonald's, DQ, Casey's General Store and an IGA supermarket. I'm sure there are several others I missed, but you get the point. The motel is in a great spot for a nightly brake while traveling on I-39.

Took this exit due to bad weather looking for food and a place to stay the night. 2 hotels with questionable reviews. We chose wrong. This place is sketchy at best. Lobby, halls and stairwells haven't even been vacuumed recently. One employee on the whole property who isn't very knowledgeable. Reminded us 3 times we couldn't smoke in the room but failed to mention there was an elevator or explain the limited parking area. 1st room had no lights, dresser tipped over and TV/lamp/clock in a pile on the bed. Back downstairs, wait for employee to show up to desk, explain, she acts like she doesn't believe me and says apparently staff has started renovation if that room and didn't inform her. New room across the hall from old one. Back up only to have the door lock be non-functioning. Back down again... At least I found the elevator. Wait again. Again doesn't believe me, and insists I show her. Back up and she's can't get for to open either. 3rd room is down hall and in another section. She hands us what she describes as a master key and tells us she will have to go down and turn on the switch to run the heater so to wait a bit to start heater. Room is worn, carpet is stained and needs vacuuming especially no around edges, bath tub is stained and chipped, towels are thread bare and rough. Beds are ok, clean at least. TV is tiny. Breakfast in the morning is coffee, 2 choices of cold cereal and a waffle maker-not sure there was actual batter for it. Didn't stick around to check. Never seen anyone when coming in and out, during "breakfast* or any other time. Vending machines are mostly empty and there is furniture stacked in every available cubby hole or empty hallway. Could be a great place if anyone actually bothered to make an effort.

Stopped at this motel while traveling through the El Paso area for business. Didn’t appear to be many other people staying on the night that I was there, but this location is a three-story building with multiple wings. Fairly quiet in my room despite being located both near the elevator and the front door of the building. Only had a few issues during the night with cars revving engines out front. In addition to a quiet stay, the room was also rather clean and comfortable. The bed mattress was firm, and the pillows were soft. Bathroom was adequately freshly cleaned. Room also had a refrigerator, work desk, and even a recliner (which were all helpful while I wrapped up work items before bed). Building does show signs of aging, but they are obviously doing maintenance and upkeep. One of the stairwells had a bunch of construction materials and paint cans. Breakfast was rather lacking with it being little more than coffee and cereal.

The stay went well except that one of the side entry doors did not work with the key card. I reported to the front desk, she gave me a new card, but that didn't work either. The room was in decent shape and clean.

This motel was listed as four stars. It's OK but not that great. The bed was comfortable and the location was clean. But, they failed to put soap or shampoo in the room and the breakfast was spartan even for a "continental breakfast". I never could get the internet to work on two different devices. It's an older but well kept lower middle range motel. Fine for me with my crew on work but not where I'd stay if traveling with my wife.

We found a used Crack pipe in our room the morning after we woke up. Told the customer service person as we checked out and he said he would have a conversation with the cleaning crew. That's it! Nothing else? We would never stay here again and would only recommend the place if you are also a Crack smoker.
