Room was comfortable, quiet and heating that was easy to adjust (no aircon though). 5 stars on that side of things given it's good value Zero stars though for the shower. The water came out at a dangerously high temperature - not a bit higher than I would have liked but serious scalding if I'd used it. I can only guess there was no cold water going into shower mixer as adjusting the temperature dial made no difference. Wash basin was fine with hot and cold water. Speaking to other guests the water was a problem - one person had no cold water at all, only hot. I was only staying 1 night and only realised this in the morning so no time to swap rooms. Recommendation to test the basin taps and the shower or bath before unpacking to check that the bathroom is usable. Location is a little outside the town centre - maybe 10 minutes walk. There was 1 restaurant open nearby and nothing in the morning if you want breakfast (1 cafe opens at 9am at weekends)

Excellent location for my job, I stay here quite often part of that reason is the welcome. Bernie the Supervisor/Receptionist is amazing, always very helpful and not just doing her job like a lot of chain hotels, she really cares Great value for money and nice clean rooms. No meals here but plenty of takeaways around or order to the door service

Great stay at halifax travelodge bit dated but clean near local ameanaties staff were very good and friendly

We had a few days at the halifax travelodge it was an enjoyable stay although its in need of some tlc it was very clean and had everything we needed we were checked in by Bernie who was very helpful and gave us lots of information which was useful to us she also informed us that the hotel is due for refurbisment in the coming months and for us to return which we will as she also told us about various events occuring in the town
