My friend and I booked two double rooms at Buxton premier Inn and stayed for one night, last night! We had tickets to see a show at Buxton opera house last night! Previously over the past years we have stayed at the palace hotel because it's central to Buxton's opera House. To my surprise this Premier Inn is only 5 minutes away from the centre and would be easily walkable,it was raining so we used the car. On arrival Chloe (head housekeeper) checked us in,we had a conversation with Chloe, she is very pleasant! The rooms on the ground floor were spotless clean and I had a great night's sleep there was absolutely no noise from other guests on the corridor,which was wonderful! I could control the heating as I don't like too much heat! Breakfast was fantastic,the chef and waiting staff were friendly and efficient and helpful with our queries re parking at the hotel! We won't bother staying at the palace hotel in future, Premier Inn Buxton is much better modern and a fraction of the cost! See you next time we book concert tickets! Thank you! Julie and Chris xx

Good location. Clean and tidy rooms. Staff and breakfast excellent. NEGATIVES were the bar did not open until 5pm on both days we stayed and only served bottles, no draft. Paying for parking at £5 a day when you have paid to stay at the hotel is so completely wrong but Premier Inn excuse is they don't operate the car park which is attached to the hotel.

Location was great for walking in to town. Staff were friendly, curtious and professional. We stayed in one of the superior rooms which was beautiful and well equipped. As it was January the price was really good. Communal areas looked clean, bedroom and bathroom were spotless. It was a nice quiet hotel with plenty of parking. Will definitely be back.

Excellent mid week stay in this handy hotel for Buxton. Easy to find Cheap all day parking at a fiver ! Clean, tidy Welcoming reception and helpful staff Lovely clean room !

The staff were friendly and helpful and my family were impressed with the breakfast. What ruined our 1 night stay however, was the overpowering smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. The staff thought it was from previous guests having smoky clothes, but the stench did not improve and by the morning my son had a headache and I had a sore throat. My guess is that someone was smoking in the room and it went through the air conditioning system. It wasn't possible to open the windows, so we had no way of clearing the air. I would think twice about booking a Premier Inn again, as this could have happened at any one of their hotels.
