I've stayed at Alcester Travelodge many times and generally the rooms are satisfactory. However, room 31 is not such a room. It appears on entering that everything is as it should be clean and had undergone a recent freshen up. The bed had not in fact you roll into the middle. The floor was probably a better option and softer. Sleeping with the window open is also not an option. The noise on site is way too high from mechanical refrigeration at the nearby businesses. Then comes the early morning shower. More to the point lack of as the water pressure at 8am was so low that it couldn't actually push water out of the shower head. Overall clean room friendly staff but the bed needs changing and the pressure for the shower needs looking at. Staying here avoid this room number and pick a room on the opposite side of the building to the car park.

Avoid room 31. I've stayed in numerous Travelodges and usually no complaints but if they've improved the rooms here, I'm glad I wasn't in this one before it was improved!. The bed was so worn and uncomfortable that my partner and I barely slept. The mattress sagged so badly that I rolled into the middle of the bed, and any attempt at falling asleep ended up in one or more parts of my body tensing up so much to try and not put my body out of alignment that I needed painkillers in the morning. The shower was so ineffective that I ended up taking it off the wall and using it as a hand shower in an attempt to maximise water pressure. It kept turning off the water flow while I was using it, causing shampooed hair to drip suds everywhere. The curtain didn't stretch far enough to prevent what water there was from dribbling out onto the bathroom floor and soaking that too. To add to our restful night, a sparrow was enthusiastically chirping outside the window from about 3.30am. In December. Now, I'm not advocating culling the local bird population but it just about summed up our stay. So, if you arrive at the reception and the cheerful lady behind the window hands you the key to room 31, do yourselves a favour and tell her that you have a superstitious aversion to the number 31 and you can't possibly sleep there. You'll thank me later.

The stay was trully pleasant. Kasia, the staff member, was very helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. The price/quality ratio was okay. I recommend this :)
