Wellington travel lodge is in a prime location, easy to get to from the M5 motorway and ideal for me as my parents live in Wellington. It is a quiet lodge, staff are very welcoming and friendly and when checking in, always ask if everything is OK. I've stayed here several times usually on the 2nd floor at the rear of the lodge. You can prebook your room. The rooms are clean with fresh towels and tea/coffee facilities. Staying on a Sunday evening is good value for money, although I have stayed other nights. For me it's just right.

Had a great stay here, Sunday, the 8th of March, we use this Travelodge a couple of times a years but I was pleasantly surprised that it has been revamped and it was all fresh and New, the staff were very nice and very helpful and would have a chat with you There is a McDonald’s and a KFC and a pub right touching this Travelodge so you won’t be short of food options and you’re only a mile from the town My only grip is it does get a bit noisy in the morning as it’s a busy area but I was getting up and leaving early so that didn’t bother me A great place to stay at a bargain price

The standard of rooms was poor. The first room I was checked in to had a strong smell of sick. I was moved to an alternative room (I did complain) I decided to pay for an upgrade (thinking it would be far better). It cost me £15 for the upgrade and the room was dirty and had not been cleaned to a good standard. There was bits all over the floor and it was evident the room hadn't been checked; The expel-air in the bathroom was not working. I was charged an additional £20 for taking my dog which I expect is towards the cleaning! My dog's bedding area is cleaner than this room! I did not feel I could go back down to reception to complain again as I have just had major surgery and I felt it too stressful.

Having made the mistake of booking the wrong night I can’t thank Nikki, Trudy and Jon enough for resolving the situation for me. Wonderful Staff and the home baked cupcakes were on point 🫶

Having stayed in 4 different Travelodges over 5 days, it's easy to make comparisons. Taunton Lodge on the Saturday night was awful and so noisy all through the night, I had no real sleep at all. So we moved on to Wellington and were greeted by Trudy, who was an absolute breath of fresh air compared to our other experiences. She helped us with a phone charger, assisted with check in and went out of her way to find us a quiet room so we could rest. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Lodge.
