I booked this hotel for 2 separate stays recently because it fitted my needs perfectly due to it's location. Stayed in 2 different rooms, both comfortable and clean. Breakfast at the attached Beefeater was both plentiful and varied. Service in both the hotel and restaurant was impeccable. I would definitely stay again.

This a standard Premier Inn - functional & clean. The real reason I’m writing this review is to give *exceptional* feedback to Michelle, who was on reception for our check-in and for our stay. I’ve travelled to quite a few hotels in my time for business & pleasure, and Michelle stands out as one of the friendliest, most personable, warm, and welcoming hotel receptionists I’ve encountered in recent years. Excellent work.

I write to you to express my profound disappointment regarding the disturbances I experienced during my recent stay at your establishment. Throughout the night, I was subjected to persistent noise from the occupants in the room above mine. The most egregious incident occurred on Thursday night at precisely 12:16 a.m., just as I was finally drifting into sleep. A sudden, forceful bang upon the floor above—seemingly as though a heavy object had been deliberately dropped—startled me quite severely. As someone who suffers from a number of serious health conditions, such disturbances are not merely inconvenient; they pose a genuine risk to my wellbeing. The abrupt shock from the noise greatly disrupted my sleep and left me feeling deeply unsettled. Upon checkout, I dutifully reported the matter to your receptionist. To my astonishment, I was asked why I had not raised the complaint at the exact moment the incident occurred—an expectation which, I trust you will agree, is wholly unreasonable. I replied that it would hardly be appropriate for me to visit reception after midnight to lodge such a report. The response I received—namely, that nothing could be done because I had not complained immediately—was most disheartening. Even after I suggested she speak to the occupants directly, there appeared to be little inclination to assist. As a regular guest who has long contributed to the continued patronage of your esteemed hotel chain, I had anticipated a greater degree of consideration and appreciation. Regrettably, this experience left me feeling neither valued nor respected. I had requested a ground-floor room, and I am pleased to say that this was graciously accommodated. Having my mobility being considerably limited; thus, I was genuinely grateful for the availability of disabled parking bays conveniently situated directly before the hotel entrance. Regrettably, I discovered that neither the hotel nor the adjoining restaurant offers room service. Consequently, I was obliged to convey my meal from the Beefeater back to my room myself—a task that proved rather taxing given my condition, and during which I very nearly spilled my food.

The hotel itself is pretty good but I wouldn't recommend eating at the Beefeater across the way for evening meal. Expensive and poor quality. Breakfast time felt chaotic.

The usual reliable standard, but no elevator would pose a problem for those with disabilities. I should mention the young lady serving breakfast last weekend in the Beefeater opposite. Sorry, forgot her name, but a great start to the day, seeing such a cheerful and attractive person.
