An excellent stay at Castle Marina Premier Inn. Great location with free and plentiful parking. Comfortable updated room. Fantastic breakfast, Natalie was very friendly and helpful and considerate of our special dietary needs. We have stayed in all the Nottingham Premier Inns and this is by far our favourite!

Me and my daughters stayed in this hotel between Christmas and New Year for a second year in a row. First, positives: -- Location is good -- it takes about 25-30 minutes to walk to City Center, plus there is a large retail park less than 5 minutes walk away. There you can find large Sainsbury's, Lidl, Pizza Hut and McDonald's (other shops, like furniture or carpeting are less relevant for traveller). -- Free parking is also a big plus -- you do not need to pay extra if you arrived by car. Now negatives. I understand, that this is a budget chain, with some things, like small room size, to be expected. However: -- No wardrobe with shelves in the room. There were 5 or 6 hangers, but shelves were occupied with spare bedding. In practice it means, that most our things had to stay in the suitcases. This is very inconvenient -- every time you need some change of clothes you have to find the place to open your bag on the floor, which is not easy, as most of the room space in family room is occupied by the beds. -- Bathroom was clean, but very basic. Ok, I did not expect any luxury, however, to have only 'rain' shower over the bath, without a hose attachement is quite inconvenient. -- Breakfast was really hit and miss over our 3 days stay. Unlike in other PremierInn hotels the hot part of breakfast had to be ordered (not buffet style), although may be this was just a temporary thing over Christmas period. Anyway, staff there are clearly overworked, expect delays and very, very variable food quality from day-to-day. Overall, the stay was Ok, but I believe a few things could be improved with little efforts, to make the whole experience noticeably better.

Nice room and friendly staff. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was very nice with excellent service from Natalie. 😁
