Premier Inn are usually a good standard. However, this one was understaffed. Reception unmanned for the majority of the time. Service in restaurant was poor until one lovely lady stepped in to make it a better experience. Just sorry I didn't get her name.

Stayed 3 nights as we were visiting family. Hotel is well located, seemed in good condition and we knew from emails that renovations were going on. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. We were given a ground floor room which was down a few steps so almost in a basement. Issue was there were two unpleasant smells. First a chemical carpet type smell - friend says used by hotels to get rid of fusty mouldy smells. It was strong in our room and whole corridor, overpowering chemical smell. And our bathroom really stunk of damp/ mould, exactly like a cave. No mould or evidence of damp but feels like there’s a clear ventilation problem as smell was ingrained. Otherwise the room was up to usual premier inn comfort standards. But these smells were overpowering and impossible to get away from.

The room was clean, well presented. The only problem was that as a family with a young child we were given a room directly above the reception internal door, which constantly banged until we complained at 11pm and started again early. When reported this again in the morning, the hotel staff and maintenance are already aware that there is an issue affecting customers who stay in these rooms, but still put us in there with a young child.

To begin, I should mention that we very rarely upload negative reviews, since we generally find that our experience of hospitality venues is what we expect to find when staying/dining in chain hotels/restaurants and know in advance roughly what to expect. First, the positives - we had booked a dinner; bed & breakfast deal for one night. The staff at the Premier Inn Liskeard were very friendly, and despite the ongoing renovations which we were aware of at time of booking, we did not experience any noise/disturbance (although our stay was a Sunday night, so no workmen around until Monday morning, when there was a little noise at times, but nothing too obtrusive). And although a few parking bays had been fenced off, the large car park was virtually empty of cars, so no issues with finding a parking space - more on that later! On arrival to our room, there was only one bath towel and one hand towel - a quick visit to reception, and this was quickly resolved. Now the negatives - the hotel offers free wi-fi - however, when accessing it, I was unable to access some websites (eg: BBC iPlayer - which was unavailable due to us being 'out of the UK at the time'! In Cornwall!?) We had already expected a 'limited' choice evening menu at this hotel, and having ordered our meals, waited a long time, especially considering we were the only diners at the time! The remainder of the restaurant was empty, until a couple arrived for food, and one other person who sat in the bar area for drinks only. The food was uninspiring; my husband asked for some vinegar, which arrived in a dreadful state (it was very cloudy, so he refrained from adding any to his meal) we ate most of our meal, and left after just the main course. Previous reviewers mentioned the 'delicious breakfast' / 'freshly cooked breakfast' - so we were looking forward to that - whilst the waitress was very friendly, the food was mostly overcooked and sadly, one of the worst breakfasts we have eaten in any hotel/restaurant. We didn't complain to the waitress, as that is not our way. Our biggest shock, however, arrived today - as I mentioned at the beginning, we seldom leave negative reviews, and had originally maintained this viewpoint with regard to the Premier Inn Liskeard, opting to keep our thoughts to ourselves, as it is a matter of our opinion, and others may not find it particularly helpful, and we may have just been 'unlucky' with regard to the food, etc. But, having received a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) in the post today is the final straw, which, added to our overall experience, prompted the decision to write an honest review to be shared here. Upon arrival for our stay in November, I entered my car registration details on the screen in reception, and whilst checking in we chatted with the receptionist, remarking on the cherished number plate of the car we had parked next to. She informed us it was her car, and talked about the 'background' to the cherished number itself. She also confirm

I would avoid at least until building work is completed. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a family funeral but weren't informed beforehand the water would be turned off during the middle of the day. The hotel is very run down and to not even have a water supply when charging full rates is disgraceful. We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past in order to visit family and we have noticed the steady decline in quality and service over the years.

We would recommend dining here again. The food was amazing and our waitress Becky delivered outstanding service. Always smiling and nothing was to much trouble for her. Definitely going to be going back in the future.

Uncomfortable and smelly room , you are conned it to buying WiFi as they are using a blocking device as you have 5g out side and as soon as you walk in the door your phone signal disappears, yes they offer free WiFi but it’s terrible, it’s 2025 WiFi should be free .

I'll start with the positive/s. 1. The location makes it easy to be back on the road in the morning. 2. The staff we spoke with were lovely The hotel is undergoing a refurb - they told me this after I had booked ! The onsite bar and restaurant closes at 10pm and serves drinks in cans - no draught. We arrived very late at night and woke to mould at the tops of the bedroom walls. I stay at lots of premier inns but this one is truly grotty. You normally know you’re getting basic and no frills but this goes way beyond the depths of what should be acceptable for a business that sells hotel rooms.
1、远,离中心区域步行至少半小时,如果愿意吃超市的除外。
2、酒店没网,付了5磅用24小时的那种,结果依然没有网,5磅还没退。
服务还行,就是不解决问题。慎重选择是否入住。
