We walked into the room and it was freezing, no heating on at all and since temperatures had been in the minuses the previous few days, a little warmth on arrival would have been nice. Took ages to heat the room, not great at all, especially with children just wanting a warm room to stay in. The windows let in a lot of noise from the road and the bed wasn’t the comfiest. I wouldn’t stay here again. A warm welcome from reception was the only good thing about the place.

We stayed in this Travelodge on 31/12/25-1/1/26 to see in the new year. We are from London and to be honest wanted to see family and be away from the noisy fireworks. This hotel is a perfect comfortable 'cheap and cheerful' stay. We had the most amazing customer service from the receptionist Laura, we really enjoyed our stay. The only criticism we had was the vending machine being a little overpriced and not many shops nearby only a Starbucks and the Half way house pub did not open until noon but other than that faultless :)

This is the second time we have stayed at this travelodge and it was just as good an experience this time as when we stayed here earlier in the year. The travelodge itself is very conveniently located, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the accommodation is clean, comfortable and spacious.

Rude staff only allocated one key to share for a room of 4 people. We booked x2 family rooms for a business trip. The last few people to come in at night were rudely asked why they didn’t have a key every single day. We had all been there for 3 nights m a row and called the receptionist by his name yet he acted like he didn’t recognise us and was reluctant to open the front door for us when we didn’t have the one key that he had provided. Lots of condensation on the windows which kept dripping until there was a puddle of water across the window sill, damaging anything we had put on there. In the middle of the night I had a phone call so went outside to answer it as everyone else was asleep but it was freezing cold so I sat in the empty lobby by the reception area where they have a seat for guests. A cleaner called Tilley came out to eavesdrop. She could see that I was on the phone and took her time sweeping the floor in my direction. She then went to get a hoover and stood right in front of me with it giving me dirty looks! I asked if she could give me some privacy for a few minutes to finish my call but she started arguing telling me go stand outside or go to my room. I explained that everyone was asleep but she didn’t care and had no customer service skills at all. Would not recommend

Staff all very friendly. Rooms clean however communal areas dates and dirty. NOISE is horrendous! If you’ve a room facing the front (the arterial road) you will have no sleep whatsoever, some sound proof windows would definitely be a worthwhile investment.

Zara is such a lovely and kind person ahe sorted our problem in our room within seconds, she is a true asset to the hotel. Will definitely be staying here again.

The Travelodge is next to an Event business that holds weddings afternoon/ evenings- even on a Thursday! . The noise is intolerable. The room was actually shaking from the base notes at one point. Parking also is very poor
