Office was closed when we arrived to check in at 3 pm. Luckily a property attendant showed up to get our key. No one gave us an overview of the property, so we were not made aware of shared amenities. One day our room was not cleaned even though we put a maid service sign on the outside door. Rooms come with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and Dish network TV. AC fan speed was a little underwhelming.We had to keep hitting the Turbo setting to cool down the room.

Although the Antelope Lodge was Definitely Retro 1950’s Vibe ….. It Needs to be Better Kept and More Comfortable. The property NEEDED the Courtyard Grass Mowed and sprucing up. The clerk had No Personality and Offered No information other than our room # and that the door locked behind us. The Bed was Horribly Uncomfortable and very low to the floor. The bath Linens were Nice. Retro Refrigerator & Microwave were nice. Coffee in Room was Enjoyed. AC Worked Great. Bathroom is Tiny but Manageable even though you had to sit on Toilet Sideways. Biggest issue was No Rest due to Uncomfortable Bed 😩. Should have cost less for what it is. Wish it was Better Kept and Bed was Better. It was like going back in Time.

I’ve been staying here for years, it’s gone from dusty road stop to a more boutique feel. Very clean and comfortable!

A definite pass.
Started the moment we opened the front door finding 3 dead cockroaches on the floor. The place needs a complete renovation. We were afraid to sit down on the furniture. As soon as we woke up we hit the road, no way were we taking showers in that room. I am still recovering from the bug bites.

A lot of attention has been made to bring charm to this older property. The room was clean and spacious with good wifi and AC.

The little things.
Check in is easy and fast, the room is quaint clean and quiet. Our cabin was #22 toward the back of the property, we could not see the courtyard. Enjoyed the peace and quiet clean and comfortable bed. It felt like an Air B&B. The porch had dusty chairs and the grass was way tall, needed to be cut. If we had been staying longer it would have made a big difference, There is a barbecue grill and picnic table, but then again tall grass and weeds at the time we went would have made a negative rating. Even though our check in was brief, the desk clerk could have told us where the ice machine was, and if we needed anything to let us know contact info etc. the room did have a laminated sheet with info who to call.
The remote control to the tv was different, my husband had to reach above and turn on the box for the signal. At check in I noticed a stand up cooler where some alcoholic beverages were available to sell. I guess, the clerk didn’t expound on anything he just handed us the key and gave us directions to the cabin. There are twin lights on each side of the bed, one light was out. Overall the stay was a nice cozy room and very comfortable beds. ps. Because it is an older court. You do have to allow the water to run awhile before you get hot water. Not complaining just informing. lol.

Old property, old fixtures. None of that really bothered me or was uncomfortable. What made the stay unenjoyable was the noise the mini split AC made. A loud hum/whistle that would not go away. We tapped on the case, adjusted the air flow and fan direction, but nothing worked. Had to get up in the middle of the night and just turn it off it was so loud. Couldn’t sleep until it was off, and then only until it got hot again.
