What you dont see from the pictures is that its on a building site. Theres a building opposite all cordoned off which is going to be McDonalds so thats gonna make it a very busy place to have a hotel. Room was great, bed comfortable, plenty of sockets which was good. We was hoping for a "proper" restaurant but its more like a cafe so the dinner menu is limited so not much choice for a Coeliac compared to the usual TableTable/Beefeater Whitbread restaurants. Had breakfast which was nice but itvwasnt very hot considering it was freshly made due to having Coeliac. Waitresses didnt seem to be massively clued up on allergies as I had to ask for my breakfast to be freshly made. I did notice a sign some packaged cereals which said GLUTEN FREE in big letters so I assumed they were actually gluten free but they werent they were normal cereals, only realised when I looked at the packaging after opening it into a bowl. What the sign actually said was to ask for gluten free cereal. It should not in my opinion be situated on the gluten cereals as that is asking for trouble and being glutened is not fun. This sign should be on the counter next to the cereals not right on top as first glance that was very confusing. The view from our room was pretty much a barricade and scaffolding as per photos. I think once its all finished it will be better but with McDonalds that close it will be very noisy.

Sophie and Jodie were nice and helpful in the reception, the rooms were clean and I didn't see any hairs. The places is close to a beach.

Very dissapointing. Grumpy reception staff. One tea bag in the hot drinks tray. Shower was luke warm. Room was freezing cold upon arrival. The temperature finally increased after 6 hrs in the middle of the night causing me to wake up in a sweat feeling sick. The occupant above my room woke me almost every hour by stomping back and forth across their room... Overall a terrible experience.

We have stayed here previously and the standards have dropped considerably. The basic hotel items aren’t offered and was told they never have been. Very run down. Nowhere close by for average food, unless you have a car. Reasonable public transport due to a very large supermarket close by. Staff outside smoking, huge construction site next door. Didn’t eat there.

Went here October half term for 4 nights with my son. Firstly the hotel itself; Premier Inn standard which means you get what you paid for. Room was OK and clean, had a bath not just a shower, Wifi worked OK even the free wi-fi which hasn't always been the case in other hotels of this kind. The staff were very friendly always a "good morning" or "good afternoon". We didn't eat here so I can't comment on that but will say that the empty restaurant next door really needs to get opened again - I believe there were some issues with a McDonald's getting approval to open here. At present there is a canteen/cafe "The Social" and I'm sure they try their best but really this place needs an adjoining watering hole. Now, for the location. It's right off the main road so easily accessible. Great. However, slap bang in a building site surrounded by an industrial estate - not so great. It does seem odd to have this hotel here not in a location obvious for anyone wanting to visit Herne Bay - there are no local big employers, Sainsbury's superstore and garage a stone's throw away so no problem with provisions but an awful long walk to town / the beach - about 30 minutes. There is a bus stop just round the corner opposite Miller and Carter's which you're welcome to visit if feeling extravagant otherwise food choices are extremely limited on foot - good chip shop on the junction at the top of the hill about 15 minutes walk but other than that town is your best bet. So - hotel, OK except for the dining. Location, not so OK. When, surely not if, the adjacent restaurant opens again it will be an improvement

Staff were brilliant. Breakfast was excellent. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was lovely. Recommend Herne Bay Premier for a stay.

We were greeted by friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. They multi tasked very efficiently covering reception, answering queries and serving in the restaurant. We were very impressed with the food and particularly the lovely breakfast choices. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. A great shower and lots of hot water. The one minor issue with the air con was soon resolved. A great overnight experience.
