Our star rating is based upon the amenities we offer and since we have no food and beverage etc, we are considered one star. We try very hard to to ensure the rest of the property meets the standards of a higher rated hotel and we are happy to read that we have done that with you. We do remember speaking with you about the condition of the turtles, and as we explained, unfortunately folks tend to anthropomorphize animals and their human desires may not exactly align with what occurs in the natural world. We assure you the turtles are very well cared for. Other than myself, you spoke with other members of our team here about the that issue and that issue alone. If we were aware of some of the other issues you mentioned, we would have happily addressed them with you while you were here. Especially the lobby coffee, since I and the entire staff drink from that coffee machine numerous times a day. Sometimes too often! We definitely would have noticed something out of place! We do appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your stay. We take all comments seriously as we find, it is the guest comments that helps us improve the most. Safe Travels!

酒店回复: Thanks for taking the time to leave us your review Alice. Sorry about the bathroom baseboard heater. With all the moisture in those rooms, it’s so hard to keep them from forming some rust, so we just end up replacing them. So we’ll have to look at that room. And yes, everything seems so expensive now! We are very cognizant of our pricing and there are times when our competitors are charging 3X what we are charging, but we won’t do that. We charge what we believe is a fair price for what the product is (a motel) That covers the cost to run and maintain the place. We can never see why a room is 150 one night and 300 another. Did they change out the furniture? Does it come with a butler? Unfortunately, in today’s environment, the cost to operate has increased significantly, and those costs are what make up our prices, not how much we think we can get away with charging. We are constantly improving on the conditions and we recognize we still have a long way to go, so I’m glad we were still able to deliver on the basic premise of hospitality. 酒店回复: Thanks for you nice review Monica. We are glad you like the location and cleanliness. Sorry you were disappointed with the creamers and snow. The creamers are ultra pasteurized to enable us to have them available all hours of the day. They sure beat that powdered stuff, but yes, they are no substitute for chilled fresh cream which as a limited service property would be difficult to maintain. We see that many of our guest who really enjoy fresh cream for their morning pick me up make use of their in room refrigerators by bringing their own chilled cream. During snow events such as during your stay, we move the snow to the perimeters, while maintaining the walkways to the rooms. We think it'd be kinda neat to ski fresh powder all day and come back to no snow when we don't want it. But realistically, that's not going to happen when the hotel is literally on the trail map. So we move the snow to the areas least likely to impact the guest experience. We are sorry that you found that this caused icy patches along the perimeter. We hope those issues didn't cause too much concern as we keep a generous supply of ice melt to address areas of guest impact and would have been happy to spot treat those areas.We hope those issues were not deal breakers that would keep you from returning and would hope to see you again during the season.
