The hotel is looking very sorry for itself externally. Quite dark and dingy, poorly lit car park and a very run down looking pub, which was not open during the weekend we stayed. The welcome was great feom the receptionist. The access to the room was via the dark car park into a separate building. The room was ok although the extractor fan and TV did not work properly. We slept well though, as we have come to expect from a Premier Inn. Just a tired and sad looking place overall.

First and foremost the staff here were just great! We stayed from the 14-17th Feb. The evening check in staff and manager of the restaurant were so good. It didn’t feel like we were in a chain, it felt more like a more personal experience. They were all so good with our young daughter too. The only issue we found was that the breakfast staffing was too low. On one day there was only one front of house staff member taking the orders, cleaning the tables and serving food. Some residents left a mess and she cleaned up superbly, her name was Lea! Well done!! This is clearly a management issue of staff employment which usually means they run a tight ship for profit at the expense of no rest for the staff on duty. The toilet lid did not have a slow close, seems minor but when you arrive late and potentially wake your neighbour up it’s a problem. Up to date USB C sockets would be good but I think this depends on what cycle the hotel refurbishment is at. At our next hotel they were installed. Overall the place was clean and tidy, the staff great and parking in site was great too. Sort the staffing issue out, as in, more staff and the toilet lid and this would be a 5 star. Please pass on our gratitude to the evening manager of the 14th who also was on the morning shift on the 15th as well as Lea and the morning staff on the 17th.

What a revelation, this is not a premier inn pub/restaurant. The service, the food even though the menu is relatively same at most of the premier inn i have stayed throughout UK. I must say 10/10 staff could not be more polite, attentive, all with a smile and that does not cost a penny 😀 Lea and Olivia well done The food was piping hot and the fish was the best I've tasted at a venue owned by premier inn So we'll done all the best for the future, hope to see you again Steve

Well located with restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were freshly cooked to perfection and served with a friendly smile. The rooms were clean and tidy and in good condition. We were in the annexe which proved to be very quiet. The service was always with a friendly outlook and smile and the amenaties were good. All in all, it was good value for money and I will be staying again. Vicky and Jay were especially pleasent and efficient, catering to all our needs.

Came for a Christmas break to see family Naomi was an absolute star such a credit to the team friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much for any one.

Stayed a single night with the family. The room was tidy, clean and all beds for the kids made up ready. The staff were brilliant and they even included a welcome Christmas treat for the kids in the room! Thank you Naomi.

Visited this site and certainly wasnt disappointed. Treated my friends to a lovely breakfast, We were welcomed and served by Lea, nothing was to much trouble, i happened to sit under a heater without realising but she swiftly turned it off for me as i got to hot. Food came out nice and quick and was cooked by Jay, it was cooked to order which i like and was nice and hot. A nice kick start to the day. Thank you.
