Checked in for 1 night last Sunday by a miserable man behind the desk. No warm welcoming approach to guests at all. It was awkard and uncomfortable. The procedure of checking in with this man felt like going into a police custody cell for the night. Went back to the desk to ask for another towel, as we only had 1 even tho our booking says for 2. And I just got glared at, silence, literally nothing. It was so awkward. Eventually, he got up from his chair after i explained that we only had one towel. As a hotel manager myself of over 20 years experience, this man clearly has no customer service skills. Tip - go above and beyond, it's called giving a personal service, ask how your day was. Smile. Make interest. Have you stayed here before? If not, then welcome. Anyway, besides checkin, the place was nice, the room was okay, some parts needed some tlc. The bed was comfortable, and i had a very good nights sleep. I'd like to mention that the housekeepers the following morning were bright and cheerful. We got a "morning " how are you with added big smiles. The ladies on the desk also the following morning were cheerful and polite.

Great communication. Arrived late but felt very welcome. Clean room and bathroom. Just what we needed after a long day. Loved the pub next door where we had breakfast. Was amazing too. All round ideal and near Gatwick airport. 10min taxi ride.

房间潮湿。墙壁和天花板太薄。人们走动时会发出吱吱声和撞击声。打开门,迎面扑来的是潮湿的气味。浴室和卧室损坏严重。地毯上到处都是污渍。每个角落都是污垢。早餐很糟糕。所有的糕点都很硬而且很旧。没有吃到我点的熟食早餐。
