I really don't like to leave a bad review but..... we had to leave without breakfast as the landlady hadn't appeared by 9am. Breakfast was booked for 8.15 and we came down to darkness and the bar area locked, not even set up the night before for breakfast. Tried the emergency out of hours phone number but to no avail. Bit of a shambles to be honest from start to finish.

stayed for one night which I always feel mean about, but full on welcome from the landlady, Michelle, lovely old country inn , great ensuite bedroom, and superb beer to wash the great evening meal, why on earth would you stay in a modern travel hotel when great country inns exist? the mainstay of this country for years and long may they exist..In Cornwall for a week and going to break the home journey there again

H post has been taken down! So I will just say this is the worst Sunday lunch I have ever had! The staff were not clued up it was dirty, unfriendly and the meal was cold, undercooked and unedible we were offered no refund after complaining and the landlady did not have the courtesy to address my complaints when I emailed her.

Check in was advertised at 3.00pm, arrived at 4.50pm but room was not available & hadn't been cleaned as the cleaner didn't turn up? Menu was reduced as the chef didn't turn up either and no toilet rolls in the bathroom. I gave my breakfast order the night before but it was not passed onto the cover chef in the morning, so in all not a great experience but...would I stay there again...definitely yes. Michelle and her team were amazing, they did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable and it was. The room was clean & spacious. The hotel is full of character & is attracting locals & passers by.
Michelle and her partner had just recently taken over and need time to settle in and put their stamp on the business. I will certainly return and stay longer next time. Thank you Michelle and all

I have been a local to the Exeter inn for over 7 years and it is so sad to see the decline in such a short time with the new landlady running the pub. There have been plenty of landlords in and out of the Exeter inn but it has always kept its standard. However, now the food is slow and the portions are half the size and service is unwelcoming. I will not be returning to the Exeter inn until a new landlord/lady takes over!
工作人员一点也不热情！房间还行，就是临街，有点吵！浴室不错，就是暖气开到最大，而且无法调节！早餐也不错。
周日下午 1:30 到达，那天人不是特别多。我们是一对骑自行车的夫妇，非常饿，但他们告诉我们不能为我们服务。我们当天已经骑了 30 英里，所以在他们的野餐桌上吃了自己的应急口粮。不会再冒险去那家酒吧了。几年前，埃克塞特酒店曾经欢迎骑自行车的人。最终在骑了 45 英里后，在桑普福德佩弗雷尔的 The Globe 吃了一顿好饭，受到了热情的欢迎——那里没有歧视。
我们偶然在这家酒吧停下来吃了一顿清淡的午餐。工作人员非常友好和热情。一点都不麻烦。食物很棒，酒吧有一种舒适而现代的感觉。一个不错的惊喜！谢谢。当我们下次来到该地区时，我们肯定会再次访问。
餐食很棒，我们挑不出任何毛病，服务也很棒，员工很细心，氛围很温馨。过去 44 年来，我们一直在埃克塞特酒店，在此期间见证了许多变化，我们希望乔纳森、菲尔、利兹和团队的其他成员能度过一段漫长而愉快的时光。玛丽和爱德华。
很棒的乡村酒吧。非常友好的工作人员和当地人。我们没有预订，是自发走进去的，但是他们非常乐于助人。美味的食物，物有所值。肯定会推荐给朋友并且还会再来。
