Amazing, beautiful place. We went for a one night getaway and not to go skiing. Which was good because it rained the the whole time we were there. The lobby was like a modern library with hundreds of books and a fireplace in the center of the room. The room was small but modern with a fantasic view of the mountain. We had an excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Next time, we'll do happy hour in the bar and try the sauna. Also, I left some clothing in the room and they kindly mailed it to me asap. A wonderful place, I recommend it highly.

Visited Scribner’s just after New Year to get some skiing in on Hunter Mountain, it was an excellent choice. The hotel has a rustic but modern flair, with a wonderful lounge arranged around a central fireplace. The rooms are spacious, with a modern decor. Prospect Bar and restaurant, on site, served great food mainly provisioned from the Catskills region. A little more upscale than other places in Hunter, it was excellent. Both the hotel staff and those in the restaurant were friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at this hotel. We stayed in one of the rounds and thought it was absolutely worth it. Large spacious place, super clean and nice and private. Really enjoyed the Japanese soaking bath outside and the bed wad super comfy. Rounds guests can use the apex lounge which is right by the rounds as opposed to have to walk down to the lodge. The lodge itself was lovely. We really enjoyed dinner and two breakfasts at the restaurant and had zero issues with staff or waits as mentioned in a few other reviews. Everyone was nice and responsive. This is a Marriott design hotel so not all the Marriott perks are available here that might be at a regular Marriott. Finally, the grounds were really lovely. Beautiful views, a cozy fire pit and a lovely sauna with a few. Also enjoyed the yoga class which is complimentary for guests. Just be warned if you stay in a round the walk back from the lodge at night , while short, is steep and very dark and bears are a concern.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the grounds are lovely. However the staff, despite having their Marriott policies on their website, seem to have zero understanding or recognition of elite status. From the restaurant to the front desk, the hotel seems understaffed. Don’t expect an upgrade or late checkout for elite members. Restaurant had great food, but our waitress seemed to run away any time we had questions. Cute hotel, but pretty disappointed with the service we received.

Staff is rude and not friendly. Room not ready at 3 and was told we would be texted when the room was ready and had to text them at 4 to see if it was. Feel like were being an inconvenience and dont want children around. Dont recommend coming with your kids or if you want good customer service.

My biggest concern when staying somewhere is that I hope the bed will be comfortable. The bed at Scribner's is fantastic. It has the perfect balance of firm and softness. The rest of the room is simple with all the necessities. They have their own soaps which smells amazing as well as a rain shower that is extremely enjoyable. The grounds of the lodge feature a lounge that has various chairs, games, tables and even an indoor fireplace for you to relax at. They have a fire pit right outside the lounge where you can make smores each night. The heated pool came in handy as it was 45 when we stayed there. There is also a sauna that I strongly suggest you use. The lodge is simple and beautiful. It's the kind of getaway that forces you to take in the gorgeous view from your room and relax. Nearby, there are hikes that I highly suggest going to. The lodge felt central to a lot of places so that's another reason to stay there as well.

Amazing location with a luxury cabin vibe. The smores are a great amenity you can take to the fire pit in the evening! Roberto at the restaurant was very accommodating and the food was amazing! Must stay when visiting all the Catskills has to offer. Lots of nearby hiking within a short drive. Lots to do on and off site! STAY AT SCRIBNERS!

This is a beautiful upstate hotel resort located about 2.5 hours north of NYC. There is a restaurant on site, a pool, small outdoor sauna, and deck where you can roast marshmallows in the evening. They also had a pool table and a large selection of books behind the main registration deck. I highly recommend booking a “round.” These are a 2 minute drive from the main lodge (maybe a 10-12 minute walk up the trail) and are so worth it. They are impeccably clean and brand new. They come with a small barrel-shaped soaking tub outside. My favorite parts of the room were the window seat and the electric fireplace. The food at the restaurant is very good. Drinks are a bit limited. As I am not a big drinker anyway, this did not bother me. I highly recommend the Mocktail “Catskill fawn.” The service in the restaurant is definitely slow, so bring your patience with you. I had an issue with hot water in my round. I asked for assistance and it was fixed within 10 minutes and my amenity fee was waived. This turned what could have been an unpleasant aspect of the stay into a great experience, as the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend staying here. I would imagine that it is even more beautiful here in the fall. It is very close to nearby hiking areas and restaurants in the area. I highly recommend stopping at Alleyway Ice Cream on your way up- about 30-35 minutes from the hotel. You won’t be disappointed :)

Run away if you’re an ambassador elite. They absolutely have no clue what that is. And the FDA I spoke with was so rude, which is consistent with what most people here say. He kept on telling me “I will tell you for the 3rd time since you don’t seem to speak English.” I am a well known trial attorney in NYC and a member of the multi million dollar advocates group. I get paid millions of dollars to speak with English. The FDA seems to think that if you don’t have an all American accent, you’re a piece of sh*t. Big mistake, huge mistake.

Hospitality is great. The rooms are unique and have a great cozy feel. I also got to check out the Rounds which is incredible. If you are looking or a high end cozy modern place to stay this is it. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the Hunter area
