We stay regularly in the Premier Inns in this part of the country and have stayed plenty of times at Hurricane. Staff are lovely and welcoming / friendly but the hotel is over ready for a refresh. The rooms are musty and evidence of mould being wiped off the walls and ceiling. Thr paint work is old and messy. The last time we stayed the mould grew back over night and our hair and clothes smelt of mould from one night before we asked to move, the next room was fine. This room this time was slightly musty smelling and the mould didn't grow overnight, we were only there for two nights. The bathroom fan is completely inadequate as is thr heating system so we had to sit in the room with coats on whilst waiting to go out for dinner as we'd left the window open during the day to get rid of the musty smell. I think we have given this hotel enough of the benefit of the doubt and will try not to stay here again if we can help it.

The fried eggs 🍳 were the best eggs I and my family have ever tasted 😋 10/10 And one of the cook were so nice and generous 😇

I arrived at the reception desk ten minutes before my checkin time. The receptionist was annoyed I was ten minutes early and didn't make any attempt to assist me. She left my checkin to the late duty receptionist who relieved her at 1500hrs. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't need an alarm wake up call as the noise from the traffic at the roundabout woke me up at 6am. A good selection of places to eat nearby. The SHIRE HORSE pub and restaurant offers a varied selection of menu options catering to all tastes and dietary requirements. A good selection of real ales, Fine wines and other draught alcoholic beverages. I had the shepherd's pie which was a slow cooked lamb shank in an oven proof dish served with cheesy mash and a jug of gravy. Vegetables are an optional extra. The breakfast restaurant is on the ground floor and offers a good variety of hot food and a selection of continental breakfast options.

Absolutely wonderful service and experience from start to finish, Jordan was very helpful with my enquiry about charging in the car park. Professional and friendly as well were all the staff. Jasmine, Jayne and Paula. All the team went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I really enjoyed the breakfast and I'd look forward to coming again if I'm up here working.

I need an overnight stop whilst working in the area, I also added an early check in to my room. I found the hotel easily and also parked easily, loads of spaces and also some electric charging bays (bonus!). I had to wait a while to check in, which was frustrating as I wanted to check in and get some rest before work. The room itself was typical Premier Inn fare, i.e. roomy, clean and comfortable. Checking out also took a while, but all in all it was a good stay in a decent Premier Inn.
