Avoid if using a van for business. Mine was broken into and all my power tools and hand tools were taken and the van door left with a drill hole in the side. Hotel has CCTV but the location and quality is quite frankly very poor. You have been warned.

Stayed last night. It was ok. I would stay again due to location of parents but nothing else. Hotel is hotel bed and bath. Extras is next door at the beefeater. Evening meal was flat. Breakfast was ok. Comfy bed. Pricey for one night including extras for food.

Absolutely amazing team here at Basildon South Premier Inn, not only were they helpful and friendly on reception but the housekeeping team also said good morning, and wished me a nice day, I will happily stay again when I am in the area on business.

Check in was very smooth and was checked in by Carlie and Megan and they greeted me with a very warm welcome especially as a lone female. I will be returning.

We didn't stay, but I popped in to find out how much it would cost for some family to stay over the Xmas period. Some friends recommend this hotel and thought we would pop in and ask. Megan on reception was very helpful.

We have stayed many times at this hotel when visiting family. This time was disappointing, which we discussed with reception. The room smelt damp, the bed sheets on the sofa bed had mould spots on, there were damp patches on the walls and the carpet smelt damp. We highlighted it as we wondered if there was a leak in the bathroom that has gone unnoticed for some time - it felt like the room hadn’t been used for a while (was a bit dusty and cobwebs on the ceiling, though it was the night after Halloween I don’t think they were intended to be spooky!). Reception were very pleasant when we highlighted the problems although it was on our check out. We are due to stay over the Xmas period and if we were placed in this room or one similar it would feel like Xmas is spoiled. A few issues to be addressed, but I am also aware it’s about 10 years since the last refurb- it’s got to be due again imminently.

You can hear people from the floor above., walking around. This unfortunately woke me up on the first morning at 6:50 am. The nose went on for ages. I did go to reception and enquire if the same people would be there for my next morning I was assured they wouldn't but the next morning I again heard really creaky floorboards again early in the morning, for a while. The restaurant food wasn't very nice. Dry chewy ribs. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were friendly however.

good location easy to find with good welcoming staff and a good clean room the evening meals was good however it is a busy place so book your meal times and make sure the reception staff confirm these
