Restaurant next door was closed due to a maintenance issue but I received a call before arriving to let me know so I was prepared. The hotel staff were all very nice. The cleaners done a great job the room was spotless. I dont very often stay away for work but this was very comfortable.

Noisy air conditioning/ventilation unit. I'm actually quite a heavy sleeper but found the air con unit really noisy & had a rough night's sleep as a result.

Stayed here for buisnees. I haven't been back in a long time. Not much has changed, still a lovely little hotel. Clean and covinent. Big thanks to Lee for her warm welcoming and the help she gave me trying to find somewhere to eat.

Stayed here for business as I work in the local area. As you walk up to the hotel the lay out of hanging baskets and flowers out the front (even though its winter I'm sure looks stunning in the summer) give such a homely and welcoming feel to my temporary home for the week. I was served by the lovely Heather, she was really welcoming and knowledgeable when answering My questions about the local area. Room was pretty basic, but a bed and shower was all that was needed. However, as basic as it was, it was very clean and had everything I needed. Thanks to "fee" and "teri" the housekeepers who gave me some linen when I needed it, as well as the delightful chat 😀 I used the restaurant nearly everyday, more so for the bar qns some light bites when finishing work early in the afternoon, reasonably priced.

The hotel was placed in a convenient part of Basildon. With access to all parts of Essex that we needed to visit, so this was ideal. The premier inn itself was not in the best condition. I’ve stayed in a few over the UK and this is probably in the select few that are old and outdated and in need of TLC. Our welcome was initially warm, however, the receptionist was a bit sharp and snappy with us, as if it was an inconvenience for us to be there. Upon checking in and going to our hotel, we soon discovered we’d been placed in an adjoining room with a door connecting us to another room. This is normally fine. More about this later… The room was archaic and outdated. With broken heating. A storage heater was placed in the room in front of the radiator that was hanging off the wall with so much dust behind it. The bathroom was covered in mould spores and pockets of black mould. We left for the evening and returned around 11pm. When we arrived back we settled in for the night and heard another couple arrive in the adjoining room (they may as well have entered our room with the thinness of the door!). The couple began playing music through their television which was very tinny and shrill. They subsequently began having “relations” and oh my… she was not quiet… this went on until 2am… followed by 4:40am… and then at 7am. It was not the best sleep. In the morning, we complained to the day receptionist, whose initial reaction was “you should have said something earlier if you want a change in room”. Essentially saying it was our fault for not complaining sooner. Eventually after some back and forth, we were offered a new room. Our newer suite was a modernised and more comfortable area with USB sockets and a walk in shower. However, we couldn’t find the TV remote anywhere. But hey ho. Can’t be perfect. Anyway. Overall, the first part of our two night stay was horrendous with minimal sleep, but our second night was more up to standard. I’m not sure I’d pick East Mayne as my first choice of premier inn when I visit family in Essex in future.

Excellent service. Lady on the desk couldn’t have been more helpful. Service in Beefeater was a little slow but very friendly and food was very good. Crunchy chicken wings with mango salsa was great as was my burger. We went with the meal deal and only had to pay and additional £4 as staff with me had the ribs. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow as probably the only meal we will get all day.
干净整洁,员工友善。很棒的地方,性价比很高。强烈推荐,下次还会再来。
