Room big as was en-suite with very good shower and all very clean Room also extremely quiet despite being near a main road All good except- bed/ mattress not very comfortable which surprised me. Felt very soft compared to “ normal” but we do sleep on a firm mattress at home In the morning my husband said he’d been uncomfortable as mattress sagged in the middle I then read that premier inn changed from Hypnos beds to these? Silent night. Don’t know why. But ……. Room 123 needs a new bed.

The room and bathroom could use some cleaning, and the room could use new carpet. In regards to the room, it did not have any luggage holder, and the bathroom was having issues with the water coming out from the shower straight on the floor and the sink was filling up all the time. These are just a couple of things that left me with a sour taste together with the appalling food at breakfast.

It was my mother’s funeral so my daughter and I picked this premier inn as it was the closest to my family in Kempston. We had booked this late January so plenty on time in advance and paid a supplement to have 2 single beds a twin room. We arrived approx 19:30 after seeing family and arranging to eat at the restaurant opposite. We entered the room and there was a double bed not 2 singles. As we only had one set of towels .. 1x hand & 1x body towel we didn’t bother to shower as nd thought we would inform reception on our way out so they could sort it while the room was vacant. We didn’t see anyone at reception so headed across the way to meet family as arranged for dinner. We returned after our meet up approx 21:45 and again no one was at reception we hoovered a little but no one came so we went to the room. The bed wasn’t made as a double it had a single sheet on the mattress and it only covered the face of the mattress the duvet the same. By this time we had our night wear on so I wasn’t about to walk down the corridor enter the lift and reach reception in my pajamas. Our sleep wasn’t comfortable and we woke every time one of us moved as the sheet crumpled beneath us and the duvet would be pulled and dragged off each other all night. I really wanted a good nights sleep due to the long drive the emotional day meeting the family etc then preparing for the funeral the following day. This didn’t happen and we were ready to just advised the staff of our mishap. We packed up that morning went down to reception where there were 3 members of staff all chatting and ready to start the day so I brought this to all 3’s attention. One member suggested sending the feed back to customer relations as I even suggested the supplement paid be sent to the charity they are running as we didn’t get the single beds. Once I explained all this to Custer relations they apologised and slightly tried to fob me off. I stated the fact that the room was not made as a twin and there reply pretty much called me a lier this was there final reply and I’ve been ignored ever since as I asked for the to be handed by a member in higher authority. I wish I had taken photos but as it was a one night stay and I had more important things on my mind fogged with the lack of sleep unfortunately I didn’t. Plus they do state that there’s a full refund if you don’t get a good night sleep guaranteed. Even if I had found a member of staff au about 23:00 I wouldn’t have slept well after the furniture and bedding being moved about and changed at that time of night / morning. DISGUSTED... At the LAST REWIEW SOMEONE POSTED about this hotel and lack of toilet paper ETC (SO WRONG). This hotel i have stayed at many times with my partner who has 25 years of hospitality experience and find this hotel very good above many others. Kemi the manager keeps a tight ship and again mentioned in other reviews Dawn is excellent front of house. The bar across the way (Whitbread) isn't the best but that is not the fault of the hotel. I recommend this hotel like many other reviews , so visit and make your own mind up guys.

The room was an absolute mess, clumps of crumbs, bobbles, plastic tags, sequins and gems all over the floor. Make up and hair all over the windowsill. Muck and dirt all over the shower floor, dirt on the mirrors, toilet unclean, water in the kettle and the foulest smell of stale pipes in the room. The room hadn’t been cleaned at all. The only thing was the beds made. Spoke to the front desk and the loveliest girl helped us called Annabelle. She made up and cleaned a new room for us on her own, whilst dealing with a lot of other complaints from guests about unclean rooms. The poor girl was left on her own to sort all of this out and it’s not on. She was being pulled left right and centre and still trying to make everyone’s stay good. This girl needs a raise for the shift she had to deal with, the cleaners need retraining. Absolutely gross. The new room Annabelle made up was fab, we had no problems with that room, faultless. She’s an asset to your company and shouldn’t be dealing with all these issues. Surely the rooms should have been checked by a cleaning supervisor? I booked weeks in advance as well so there is no excuse for last minute booking. The only reason I would ever rebook is because of the service Annabelle gave. Other than that it was disgusting.

Stayed at Premier Inn Bedford South – brilliant all round. Clean spacious room with a comfy bed and great shower staff were fantastic. Food was excellent and well priced plus it’s perfectly located with surrounding shops etc. I’ll be back!

Proper decent stay end of December, comfy bed, hot shower, good breakfast, can’t complain at all. Will come and stay again.

Fantastic! I returned again. Even better than last time!!! Staff was helpful and made me feel safe and comfortable. Definitely would recommend!!!!

What a lovely hotel. The receptionist Dawn was superb in her customer service and was very helpful throughout and made the check easy and was customer focused throughout. I’d certainly recommend this hotel and if you’re lucky enough to have dawn greet you on reception then you’ll receive first class customer service.
