This Premier Inn is a quiet location, clean, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was interesting, greeter not quick off the mark to watch. Cooked breakfast warm. Food not refreshed as often as needed so empty areas.

Good hotel as expected but do not go near the 'Table Talk' branded restaurant. 30 minutes plus to get the first drink. Nearly 1 hour to get the food. Starter swimming in so much oil after being deep fried that the napkins were soaked. Ravioli with the starter was also deep fried, never seen that or ever want to again. Mains cold when arrived. Steak so tough you could not chew it. Small portion size. Staff seemed confused over orders which seemed to be stacked up on the bar. Did not go down for breakfast as could not risk after that.

Be warned!! They clean the corridors at 2am! This includes a robot vacuum running up and down outside your door, and they aren't quiet!! Two ladies with polish and dusters scrubbing away. 2am!! Whitbread policy said reception, absolutely crazy i say.

We recently stayed at the Premier Inn at Barnstaple for a family birthday. First impressions was okay and was easily checked in but not the most friendly of welcomes. We were given a room in the annex building and found the room quite easily on the second floor. The room had obviously been updated and although clean it hadn’t been what we expected. Gone is the useful workstation/desk in place a table in the corner, so unable to work as power points not where you need them. Gone is the wardrobe and now a metal framed unit where the tea making/kettle is amongst your clothes. Gone is the bedside cabinet and in place is a kitchen stool. Overall the rooms are clean and comfortable but Premier Inn sort things out will you !!! We had the breakfast/ dinner package which is in the Table Table next door. Breakfast is self service and plentiful of hot and cold food. Although expect a queue for the coffee machine. Dinner is a long drawn out process, lack of staff and what there was, was abrupt and officious. You will wait at least an hour for food, order all courses at the same time if on a meal deal. Food was good when it did arrive though.

Barnstaple The staff weren’t very welcoming to be honest seemed more interested in chatting to one another. I paid extra for the plus room And even said in the leaflets in the room if u required more coffee pods from front desk you could When I did said no sorry can only give u the packet coffee I paid extra for the extra comforts of the room and was declined this So was very annoyed as it may not seem like a big deal but my reason for travel was going to a funeral and simple things can give u comfort. The room itself was warm and the bed was super comfortable and very clean cat fault the cleanliness of the room And the shower and mini fridge in the room was very good I found the restaurant next door which is connected to the premier was very expensive But there is a Tesco not to far from the accommodation within walking distance which was ideal we had a mini fridge in the room I would stay here again if staff were trained to be more friendly I’m autistic so it’s already a challenge without unhelpful staff

A return visit for a two night stay, the receptionist was friendly and helpful and the room we stayed in which seemed to be newly refurbished, was clean, smart and stylish. Great shower and soft white towels, we also enjoyed two peaceful nights sleep. Our breakfasts and evening meals at the restaurant next door were good too. Plenty of free parking just register vehicle number in reception.

We had a lovely weekend stay at Premier Inn Barnstaple. The hotel was spotless, the room was comfortable, and everything felt really well looked after. The staff were especially helpful and friendly, always welcoming and happy to assist with anything we needed, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience and we’d happily stay again.
