Not impressed. Paid £98 without breakfast. Shower was cold and enough coffee to make a single cup - feels like too many corners being cut at the expense of guest comfort.

Stayed at The Old Nelson many times. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are warm and comfortable. No aircon, which can be an issue in the heat of summer. One or two areas are looking at tad tired - worn carpets and stains, etc. On the whole - recommended for a short stay. With grateful thanks to Claire R who welcomed me at breakfast. She was an absolute delight and nothing was too much trouble :-)

amazing experience, everyone i met reception and housekeeping were lovely and made me feel so comfortable, my room was so clean can’t fault it and the hotel looks good

Nice and quiet location with no noise of a nighttime. Room was clean and tidy, and reflected the reasonable price of the room! Service provided during our stay good, and amenities were pleasent. Nice and close to the town, or park!
酒店本身不错，但空调不足，房间很不舒服，很难入睡，而且自带的风扇噪音很大。借口是这栋楼是历史保护建筑，但我住过其他有空调的历史保护酒店，所以可以安装空调。虽然房间还不错，但通往房间的楼梯间和楼梯平台有股难闻的气味。绝对不会再住那里了，毕竟价格贵得吓人！
我周六晚上7点到达，当时我只有一个女性，却被安排到了一间我觉得是酒店里最差的房间。看来房间是前一天就安排好的，所以他们确切地知道谁会住在这里。房间里很闷热，因为没有空调。不过，你没法打开窗户，因为厨房的抽油烟机固定在墙上，发出噪音。从房间里可以看到垃圾桶和脏乱不堪的后院。房间里的网眼窗帘都破了，真是太漂亮了！印象很差。我去前台换了房间，因为我早上7点就要出发，不得不费劲地争取到另一间房间。我要向PI正式投诉。
尽管我们要求一间安静的房间，但他们给我们安排的房间却非常不安静，每天早上都会被楼下传来的吵闹声吵醒。我们不确定我们的房间是否在餐厅楼上，但无论我们住在哪里，肯定都不安静。此外，客房服务人员在打扫房间时似乎有些怪异。第一天，我们出门时挂上了“整理房间”的牌子，但回来时门上还挂着，所以我们以为房间没有打扫过，但实际上已经打扫过了，为什么门上的牌子没有被取下来呢？第二天情况正好相反。我们回来时，牌子已经取下来了，但床却没有整理，尽管咖啡、茶等等都准备好了。为什么没有人整理床呢？这家高级酒店及其服务实在让人失望。
我们于2025年7月初入住这里，房间热得令人难以忍受，两天都没怎么睡。窗帘一侧的轨道都脱掉了，而且整晚都有噪音，可能是抽油烟机的声音。楼梯间有股难闻的气味，地毯上也有污渍。这地方需要翻新了。
很棒的短期住宿，建筑很漂亮，虽然有些老旧，但这增添了特色！Kerri 很友善，非常乐于助人，满足了我们所有的需求。早餐很棒，餐厅的女士在我们入住期间非常友好。以后再来这附近的时候一定会再来的。
很棒的住宿体验，我们聊天的每个人都很友善，尤其是Chey，床很舒服，房间干净整洁，一定会再来的。这里环境优美，有很多值得参观的地方，还有好吃的地方，迫不及待地想再来，真是个很棒的地方。
