Very warm welcome at reception by the staff. It was our first time in the area we came all the way from london to enjoy stay but The ground floor really smelled bad which really put us off as soon as we entered the room it smelled of pepper. The children did not enjoy their stay here

Lovely staff at this hotel, from the manageress to the breakfast team, nice room, lovely food and especially breakfast. Spotless room and FREE parking.. shame all premier inn establishments aren't to this standard.. well done team catterick..!!

We stayed here for one night in December in a family room. Check in was efficient with a friendly member of staff and we decided to pay extra for breakfast for the next morning. The room was nice and clean and comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The next morning we went for breakfast that we had pre-booked a time for. We sat down and got ourselves some drinks and then headed over for the hot food. Unfortunately they had run out of most stuff so we having to make fresh stuff, I had how long and it was going to take 5 minutes. However they were only concentrating on one item of food, i.e. bacon, but then there were no eggs, no hash browns, etc. When bacon did become available it was gone in an instant as so many people were waiting. We complained to a member of staff and they said it would be 5 more minutes and that it was because the restaurant had just reopened. This is a worry as breakfast is probably the most easier of the services, so it would be interesting to see how they manage lunch and dinner. There were a lot of unhappy people there, in the end we asked for a refund and went elsewhere. The restaurant and kitchen was an absolute scene of chaos. We did mention it again on check out and we're told that the staff were 'trying'!! If you are stopping here I would highly suggest you avoid the onsite restaurant, instead we would recommend the Hungry House which is next door that does good meals and offers breakfasts and there is also a McDonald's only a couple of minutes walk away.

The cleanliness of the bedroom was shocking with nail clippings clearly visible on both the bathroom floor and the carpet immediately outside the bathroom door. It spolied the whole experience. The failure of Staff to deal with it after it had been reported courteously to staff in the morning was appalling so that i had to wait after returning to my room to have the cleaners clean it.

Even though there was renovation work being carried out this did not affect my stay a all. A very, comfortable, pleasant stay as usual

What a fantastic experience! Sarah and Alex could not do enough to make our stay perfect! Sarah even fixed my dress so I could go to the ball! Alex was charming and funny nothing was too much trouble for this incredible team! The bed was so comfortable (I did threaten to steal it!) Clean and so comfortable with such a lovely team made this Cinderella go to the ball (even though I came back with concussion!) I would leave a reason to visit again you made our weekend, Best hotel visit ever! (And I’ve paid thousands for less quality!) Sarah and Alex thank you ! I sincerely mean that!

Building work at the hotel which we knew about, but wasn't expecting to be given a room with the scaffolding and builders actually working right in front of our bedroom window. We were woke up by a jack hammer at 8.30. As we left We noticed that across the corridor the noise was greatly reduced and at the end of the corridor,the noise was almost completely gone, So why are we right next to the building work ? At the reception we asked why we had been put there, was the hotel full? We were told no, the hotel has at least 15 rooms available but the computer selects the room and they can't do anything about it. I asked, can't you tell the system the room is occupied so it can't be selected by the computer. I was met with a look of astonishment and a reply, yes that would work. Come on, it's not rocket science!!

Once was a favourite stop on the road south, but rooms definitely showing since of wear, creaky floors, cracks in walls, flaking paint, laminate coming off furniture etc. Air-conditioning worked brilliant but was overall disappointed of the quality of the room given the price that was paid.

Very dirty. You can not open the windows, only usi g the air con. However the filter for the air con is so dirty and dusty you won't want it on. When you mention it to staff they are really not bothered. In the limited bar the tables are so sticky that we had to put napkins down.
