If you are planning a trip to the historic city of Mandu and want a stay that balances comfort with nature, MPT Malwa Resort is an excellent choice. My recent stay here was peaceful, restorative, and perfectly situated for exploring the ruins. The resort is situated right on the edge of Sagar Talao. Waking up to the view of the lake shrouded in morning mist was the highlight of the trip. It feels far removed from the noise of city life. The in-house restaurant serves solid, comforting North Indian and local Malwa cuisine. While the menu isn't overly fancy, the food is fresh and hygienic. Having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the water is a fantastic way to start the day.

Lovely place , lake view room , nice service , a time well spent . The place is not far off from the monuments and the small town .... Our local guide was a Nice young *** who showed us all the places with historical relevance. The kitchen of this place is good . The in room dining service and the buffet breakfast was good with local delicacy in abundance

Lovely location besides a lake, spacious property, good sized rooms with all amenities, right down to a yoga mat! Well thought of. I could not defect anything - from sheets to toilet supplies to towels. All top class. Restaurant is good quality, so is the lounge bar. I rate this the best Government run Tourist Department chain of hotel - no lower than good mid sized resorts from recognised hotel chains.

The location of the resort is very good. the rooms are spacious. The food is good and well-served. The dining staff is very co-operative and responds to individual needs. Unfortunately, the various fixtures in the rooms are poor quality leading to a bad taste. the room locks, the bathroom fixtures like the mixers, the flush etc need to be of a better quality. The typical 'government-run touch' peeps in.

MPT Malwa Resort is a serene, lakeside retreat perfect for soaking in the historic charm of Mandu. It offers beautiful views and easy access to Mandu’s monuments like Jahaz Mahal and Hindola Mahal etc. I stayed in a lake-facing room in the 1st floor —spacious, clean, and full of rustic charm. The room required some upgradation / maintenance. The mornings were peaceful, with birdsong and mist over the water. The food was simple but tasty, and the staff were polite, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. The resort’s real strength is its tranquil vibe. Whether you're relaxing with tea by the lake or exploring the nearby ruins, the atmosphere is calming and soulful.

The Malwa Resort run by MPT is a lovely place located outside the busy township. The rooms are quite spacious, clean sheets and towels, comfortable bed and a walkin closet. The staff were very polite and helpful. The morning Buffet breakfast had enough spread to take care of local cuisine and continental. The Washroom was a bit of a disappointment. The common fitting for head shower, bucket and hand shower were internally leaking leading to unintended fun of selecting any function and getting drenched by head shower. The dry commode area and wet bath area are not segregated. So once the first person takes bath, the second has to walk on a wet floor. They provided a full range of toiletieries , which are replenished every day. You get a nice lake view through the room window.
