We stayed for 2 nights (all too brief!) in order to visit the Ashram in Ganeshpuri. We were very happy to have found such a wonderful homestay. It is a home stay.. in that it feels like a home. A family run business that makes you feel like family. Karan who runs the business now is a great communicator and like the rest of his family, extremely helpful. His mother, Punam is an excellent cook who made sure we had more than enough delicious food, every meal. Our upstairs room was comfortable, spotless and cool. I especially enjoyed the veranda area. Extremely comfortable firm bed and a good bathroom. Location was ideal for us, being midway between the Nityannanda Temple and the Gurudev Siddha Peeth Ashram, an easy 7 minute stroll in either direction both day or night.

My daughter and I went on pilgrimage to Ganeshapuri, India. We stayed at the Gurudev Chaya Guest house, a Home Stay, with Karan Yadav and his family. We had simple and lovely rooms on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the village. The rooms were very clean with private bath. The family has lived in Ganeshpuri for 3 generations and made us feel like family. We felt immersed in the culture. Karan's mom, Poonam is an amazing cook. She served us 3 delicious meals per day as we spent our time visiting the temples and shrines. The Samadhi hall of the Siddha, Bali Baba Nityananda was a 10-minute walk allowing us to participate in morning and evening Aarti (joyous chanting) celebrations. Gurudev Chaya is a perfect place for a pilgrimage to the sacred temples in Ganeshapuri. We visited the family farm where water buffalos were milked. The farm grew papayas, citrus and greens which were part of the daily meals, farm to table fare. Poonam’s food was delicious and prepared with such care. It was prepared with love and impeccable care. It was a joy to stay with this lovely family while visiting such a sacred place. We will tell all of our friends and family and have a home to stay at any time we go to India. That's such a comfort with the chaos and clamor that often accompanies India. Visiting Ganeshapuri's temples and the Nityananda shrine at Guru Mayi's ashram was the one of the highlights of our India travels. Staying with Karan's family made it so much more personal and enjoyable.

Ganesh puri is a small town but this guest house provided all facilities as per 3/4 star hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and neat.

A wonderful experience staying at the Guru Dev Chaya. A warm welcome by the owner Mohan and his family who looked after all our needs during the stay. Food was delicious and tailored to our tastes. Room was clean and comfortable with a large balcony to relax on after a day of touring.Karan provided a great tour to Shirdi to see the temple. Highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Ganeshpuri!

First time in ganeshpuri and the whole family here are what made the trip so special! The rooms were comfortable and clean and all the food was amazing, some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The best part of the family, they are all so lovely, extremely welcoming friendly and helpful. We had a group of friends 20 and they went above and beyond for all of us, organising days out, taxis, hikes etc . Ganeshpuri holds a special place in my heart and each time I come back I will check in here, see you again soon.. Lots of love, Leon
