An excellent stay at Forsyth Lodge, Satpura! Although we reached quite late in the evening, we received a warm welcome and was shown to our room . Even though the approach road is quite uneven, the interior decoration is excellent, with a cozy bar and library . Mr Nipun, the Naturalist was very gracious in his behaviour & guided us on how the Safaris would start . In fact , he also guided us very well during our Safaris . The food at Forsyth , is delectable. Kudos to the chef . Each room has an attached sit out , where you can relax and enjoy the greenery. All said and done , an excellent place to relax and enjoy the Satpura wildlife . Definitely recommend it .

We stayed at Forsyth for a short trip in September. Since it was rainy season we spent most our time at the lodge and enjoyed it thoroughly. The establishment is unique, traditional, authentic with local art yet modern, clean and well equipped. Machan was the highlight for stay! The staff is very well trained, polite and professional. They helped us with all our questions and service was excellent. Food was a delight. We took all inclusive package and enjoyed Italian for lunch, indian for dinner and nice breakfast spread. Love the fact that food was served individually and was not a buffet which results in waste generally. Taste and quality of food and ingredients was top notch. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the right season!

We stayed here for 2 nights during January in a room described by *********** as a Gondia Cottage on a dinner bed and breakfast basis – in addition I booked 3 game drives directly with the Lodge Our cottage was very large and comfortable – big bed – hanging and storage space – hot drinks station – fridge – bathroom – large walk-in shower (not used) – and then doors to verandas – one feature of the room is the number of switches for lights and other appliances which presented a challenge first thing in the morning and last thing at night The food was excellent and each of the meals were tasty and different – a real highlight – bottle beer is available for purchase – breakfast was taken off the bonnet of the jeep – and of course shared with our guides and driver I always think it a pity that with these Lodges there is never enough time to make the most of the other facilities – in this case there was a large pool and spa treatments on offer – but game drive timings leave little time to enjoy such facilities But of course the main reason for the visit was visiting the nearby Satpura National Park – the Lodge is a 5-minute drive from entrance where you are allocated a National Park guide and then take a boat to the main entrance across the lake – we had our own very good guide from the Lodge – thank you – and we had a jeep with NP driver and guide - we were lucky to see a female tiger starting to hunt down a young Indian Bison – to then finding her with the kill – job done But beware the NPs decided in January 2026 to stop the use of mobile phones within the park and now only allow cameras – we had already arrived in India before we were made aware of these changes – we only had a mobile phone which had served us well in other NPs – the guide lent me his SLR for use – not the same – but appreciated – thank you This is a very good Lodge – well located – excellent guide – great food – very comfortable room – I would return but possibly not in January when it was positively chilly – thank you

POSITIVES -- Lovely place, serene, great ambience, excellent food, very good service and staff, very comfortable rooms with privacy; 12 rooms and lodge on 4 acres with 40 acres left open as a jungle for some wildlife like boars, deer etc....Faiz was a great coordinator, wildlife advisor and accompanied us for all 4 safaris; interesting journey from lodge by jeep to the boats and then crossing the waters to the safari entrance. SUGGESTIONS -- Rooms could be provided with a bucket and mug, better quality thicker bathroom mats, larger capacity geysers for more hot water in winters.

Quite comfortable luxurious is the stay we had at Forsyth. Seamless check in and out and Safari bookings. We were very well taken care of. Will always carry memories of Forsyth and the Satpura region. Special thanks to Sanil who was always helpful with our queries and Nipun and Banswarsa and of course all the junior staff at housekeeping, maintenance and Galley.
