Me and my friends came backpacking through sikkim this January. We stayed at this hostel. It was absolutely amazing. Friendliest people ever! Awesome times, awesome vibes. Rani Dhunga morning hike is an absolute must! I'll never forget hearing belling coming closer and closer in the pitch black as a massive cow immerges from the darkness while we are on a tiny ridge top. The owner also has great connections, he seemed to be able to just get things done. which was awesome for all our tourism interests!

I'm looking forward to going back to Mocheloo Ostello. I really miss the good vibes and amazing views of mountains. Also, the owner Nimesh is so friendly and helpful for any kind of information or assistance while you are in Pelling. I would highly recommend :)

This place is a real hidden gem. Not far from city but yet too close to it. Peaceful and within a local community and its a nice neighborhood where you get to explore local lives. I'm looking forward to going back to Mocheloo Ostello. I really miss the good vibes! Also, the owner Nimesh and staffs are so friendly and helpful for any kind of information. I would highly recommend :)

Went to stay for 2 days but extended the stay for couple of more. Work from Mountains is all about the best view, food, Wifi and the comfort. Well, this hostel is lacking none. Vibe of the place is unmatchable. Very Raw, quite and peaceful place to work from. Here’s some important highlights~ ♥️ Wifi : Wifi is strong, reach is commendable. Only at times of heavy rain, wifi speed lowers down ♥️ Food : Home cooked food, delicious and hygienic. You can also cook inside the kitchen. Veg/Non Veg meals available. ♥️ View : Mountain views from every corner, Kangchenjunga, is directly visible from the place. ♥️ Stay : Private rooms and dorms are available. Rooms are not that spacious as it’s like a cottage. ♥️ Power back up : There’s no back up as such, but electricity rarely goes out. How to reach - Drive till last of Lower Pelling area. Shortcuts are available if you wish to walk.

While being a hostel - you get to live with a family. One of the nicest I’ve ever been hosted by. Beautiful place, comfortable accommodation, sufficient and clean. The location is secluded, you won’t get bothered by the “usual tourists”. Unbelievable view at front. Best hosts I’ve ever been with - more than just hosts - we became friends. There are many trek routes around. Locally grown food. All kinds of hospitality one can expect. I can’t speak good enough about this place - a solo traveller must visit. You can work from “home”. You can chill. You can trek around - the opportunities are endless. I’ll keep on visiting … anyone reading this review must give this place a try, I can guarantee you’ll be as happy and satisfied as I am.
