Major security concern and outdated
The staff was friendly but the property needs a major overhaul! Even a fresh coat of white paint in the lobby instead of that dark wood! Everything was so outdated we even had a CD player in our room, also not enough outlets to charge our electronics - obviously pre-internet. The housekeeper did our bed but left our used washcloths in the bathtub. But we had a major security concern - our room was so far from the elevator that we had to park around the hotel to access our room by going up a flight. The problem is that both doors to get in were always open and DID NOT need a room key to open them. We got back one night after midnight and the doors were unlocked! That is a major security concern and for that I would never return.

Room was musty. Tried two rooms. There are no rooms in the hotel that have not had pets in the. No window to open for fesh air

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The place is very clean, beautifully kept, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, and overall the atmosphere is very pleasant.
I didn’t give five stars because, although I called ahead to confirm the pool was open, I wasn’t informed that the heating system wasn’t working. It made the water quite cold, and I got the impression that perhaps the heating is turned off when there aren’t many guests. Either way, it was disappointing since the pool was one of the reasons I chose this hotel.
Another small detail is the bathroom towels—they’re very small (around 20 inches). I would recommend bringing your own towels or asking for the larger ones available by the pool.
That being said, it’s a beautiful hotel with excellent service, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Our room was by the side/back entrance. This entrance is not kept up. Garbage on stoop and on ground. Employees and guests go out there to smoke, so it stinks.

Cute old town. Dinner at Irish Pub was good.
