I stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip and found the hotel great overall. The room (119) was very quiet. The blackout curtains block out all the light and also any sound from outside so I had a very quiet nights sleep. The room itself was nice. Plenty of space with a desk, drawers, cupboard and plenty of hangers. The bathroom was nice and clean and the best shower pressure I've ever had in a hotel room (plus nice quality shampoo and shower gel) Breakfast was good too. Nice choice of buffet food which was kept fresh and hot. A toaster that actually toasted the bread (and only had to go through the machine once!) Good speed free wi-fi. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly which was really nice to see. My only complaint is that the check in process was incredibly slow, and when I returned to my room on the 2nd my key card didn't work and so had to go back to reception and wait in the long queue to get a replacement card. My colleague had the same issue (and also said he'd had the same issue a few months ago as well) so this needs to be sorted out so it doesn't happen in future.

Rooms are very old and tired. The whole place is in desperate need of refurbishment. Food was expensive and of poor quality. I opted for the chicken curry which was served luke warm from the microwave with a stale popadom. Also ordered some street fries which were horrendously salty and over seasoned. Food is ordered using a qr code on the table but there is no option to remove things such as salad, sauces etc. I first arrived in my room and it was very cold with the window wide open which i found strange. I closed the window and went for dinner. On returning to the room it was clear the window was opened to get rid of the smell of urine or similar. There are no electric vehicle charge points which personally is a negative. Bath was far too small for any adult to use but on the plus side the shower was very powerful! It lacked a socket or usb socket near the bed for charging your phone up. Breakfast meat was undercooked… might be me being fussy as i like bacon and sausage well done! The only thing that is keeping this place open is the staff they were all brilliant, very helpful and friendly. They deserve a better establishment to work in.

From the greeting and cookies upon arrival to the amazing lady who made me up a breakfast sausage sandwich ‘to go’ both mornings, the staff member who brought me my room service order to the service I received upon check out there was one overwhelming level of consistent - the friendliness and customer service focus. Exemplary and an example to all other hotels. Well done to the team. It might not be the most modern of hotels but the attitude of the staff and team certainly raise it to the top level and on the back of this I will definitely be booking again.

I was at Holiday Inn Warrington Hotel between 26/03/23 and 28/03/23 and I had a great stay. The staff made me feel very welcome and looked after me 😊 I would like to thank all the staff especially Niamh, Shaun, BIll, Sarah, Darren, Mandy, Alisha, and Carole. Stayed two nights on business. The hotel is close to the motorway yet I didn’t really hear any road noise. Room was a reasonable size and bed was comfortable. Room temperature cannot be adjusted by the thermostat and was a bit on the cold side when I arrived. Breakfast is buffet style - eating area is quite bright.

Room is of a good standard! The food and service leave a lot to be desired! Firstly it’s on an app that you have to order your own mean and drinks on! It also adds a 10% gratuity with no option of removing on a single meal and drink! The food took over 20 mins and the drinks took longer and had to be asked for as apparently their system is terrible. Now had the restaurant been very busy which it was not! About 8 people in total, there may have been a reason for the poor service. My food was clearly cooked earlier and had been sitting somewhere as the beef burger patty was dry and hard, which you could of used to smash a window. My colleague had the curry which he said consisted of 5 small bits of chicken in a sea of curry sauce, the rice was also dry had been clearly sitting for a while. There was no way in this world I would of been giving any sort of gratuity for this poor service and food. MUST DO BETTER! and remove the auto gratuity or add the facility to decline it. Just to remind you a gratuity is given! Not taken!

I stay here frequently with work and always have the best experience. The rooms are clean and made up for me each morning without having to ask. The reception team are helpful and friendly. What makes my stay extra special is the breakfast team. They offer you a hot drink as soon as you arrive for breakfast and even a hot drink to take out to make you feel ready for the day! If you are in a hurry they offer to make you a take out bag with some pastries. The cooked breakfast is lovely and hot and the hash browns are my favourite. Thank you to all of the staff for making my experience great each time! Makes staying away from work that bit nicer😄

Stayed here for one night for a business trip. Check in was very pleasant. No queue when I arrived so was quite quick (although by the time I had finished there was a bit of a queue behind me) Room was good. Got a free upgrade. Nice size with an extra sofa and a fridge with some water and a mars bar in it, some biscuits and pack of crisps. Bathroom was good. Very nice shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. And a very powerful shower! Breakfast was included and was very good. All the normal hot items you'd expect, as well as pastries. Even had Nutella and peanut butter which I'm not sure I've seen in a hotel breakfast before. Will definitely stay here again in future if I'm in the area for business.
