Overall, this place is fine, but it's disappointing considering it's a Holiday Inn. The decor is very tired and in need of a refresh. There's no lunch available, and the quality of the food is pretty average. However, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the beds were nice and comfy.

The hotel is rather tired and in need of some help. Our room was ok, but mould in the bathroom which must have been there for quite a while and must have been spotted but not attended too. When reported didn’t seem all that interested. To be fair, apart from that the room was clean. No safe, no fridge, plastic cups. Very basic toiletries. Most staff were very friendly and pleasant, but not all, especially when we arrived early before check in (by an hour) and were very firmly told to go away. No luggage store age offered. Bar and restaurant area rather soulless, breakfast ok, but hot food rather dry and hard. Only one coffee machine and that was broken (staff did their best to help). Food in restaurant over priced and average/poor quality. The hotel was quite difficult to find, but once that was sorted the location was actually good for our requirements. Plenty of parking.

A poor example of a well placed Holiday Inn. The room was unfortunately very poorly cleaned . There were stains on the bedside tables from mugs and glasses . Something had also been spilled on one . The same for the furniture unit . The chair was badly stained . Even though it calls itself a ultra cleaned , covid safe hotel. Around the inside window frame there was a considerable amount of black mould , particularly in the corners . Finally , the was no anti slip mat for the shower. When I reported it. There was no offer to get me one . I requested an additional towel and was given 6 , ‘just in case you don’t see us again’ was what the housekeeper said . The restaurant was fair if late at night with no other option . I chose not to have breakfast the 2nd day. I would not recommend this motel to anyone despite the proximity to the M4 . Anyone’s money can do far better elsewhere and I would suggest they do that. I have emailed the manager directly and I have emailed the front desk for the attention of the general manager and in 6 weeks have not received an acknowledgement. I will not stay in a Holiday Inn property anywhere in the world in future because of this experience and lack of concern by the general management.

Hotel is being used for the council to house homeless with children. The hotel is absolutely nothing like the images provided for internet purposes. The communal area has severely stained sofas, the hotel rooms have been cleaned to their standard, but toilet was visible with urine, mild and dirt on the carpet and windowsills and extremely rude staff. Although the manager was nice and polite the rest of the staff need to be fired
