Staff was very welcoming and courteous. Breakfast was one of the best post-Covid I’ve seen. Only flaw was the pillows. They need to be replaced.

Woman at the front desk didn't want to help us check in because it was her break or something. Or maybe she sits down to enjoy her
personal laptop and food out in the guest dining area all the time. I politely asked for a room on the top floor - I have noise sensitivities and the hotel was clearly nearly empty - and she brushed me off with a "yeah, you're on the third floor." The hotel has six floors.

Unmanned front desk and rude
The room was fair, breakfast subpar, and the checkout was atrocious. The front desk was unmanned making it impossible to get my cash deposit back without waiting for the staff member to return from leaving the facility completely to “pick someone up” leaving only cleaning and maintenance staff there who had no access to the cash. I had to wait over 20 minutes while the other staff attempted to contact that front desk person with NO success. This caused unnecessary delays in our travel and we were on a time schedule. When she returned she was not only rude to me, but also to her coworkers. Very rude and unprofessional.

Wait, that’s my hotel? Holy cow that’s nice.
I was absolutely stunned that I’d accidentally booked such a nice hotel. I was totally sure that I was booking some kind of cheap roadside stereotypical hotel
When I got there, I thought we were at the wrong place.

I was looking for a place to spend the night to break up my travel and the Red Roof Inn fit the bill. The price is vwry reasonable and this is a nice hotel with five floors. Everything has exceeded my expectations, thus far.
