It was disappointing that the automatic window blinds didn't work. Although they offered to come fix them we had to put pins in to keep blinds up giving us a bit of sunlight.

Spent 300 dollars on room and had no toilet paper and nobody to ask for tp. As soon as i walked in to jump in shower, black hairs all over dirty bathroom floor, toilet seat was dirty, and blinds were broken and backwards. Some pillows were nice and soft and sone were stiff and hard not the same pillows. Other than that, nice breakfast and very homey lobby area. Wonderful snack purchase options. Checking in was very smooth and fast. Very loud and crappy location.

Location is convenient, the room was clean, and breakfast is a nice perk, although food is only so-so and I could hear my neighbors and lots of slamming room doors. The check-in was extremely frustrating, as the one clerk on the desk was on the phone and failed to acknowledge that there was a line of people waiting to check in; she did not appear to be in any hurry to get off the phone and the people waiting (myself included) became quite frustrated. I have never been kept waiting that long to check in during all my years of traveling. There should have been another person to help if the front desk staff has to handle reservations as well. And the price was really outrageous for one night of lodging. I was told that it was because of the local college starting the next week, but that is just price gouging. I was there for a funeral, not to bring my kid to school, so I found it just outrageous. I generally trust Hampton Inn (Hilton) but a bed and a breakfast in Cortland, NY should NOT cost over $400!!!
