The ballroom for the stitch retreat was well lit there was plenty of room for all the tables. Staff was very friendly. THe outdoor patio where we sat some of the time was very clean and comfortable.

The hotel itself is old and smells of mold. The rooms are nice enough although the windows are small.

I like the concierge room, pool, and lovely service with the staff. Anything I needed they greeted me with a smile and top tier customer service. Lovely location and establishment.

The hotel is a little dated but still nice. However the air conditioner in rooms are terribly loud that you will not be able to sleep. Reported this to front desk.

What happened to Marriott?
Room 219.
The good: comfortable bed, room design, front desk staff.
The bad: everything else… the room was not maintained: small things (dying remote batteries) to larger things fridge wasn’t cold, but was cold enough to leak condensation all over the floor. To “what?”: the shower curtain had been crudely shortened so much that it left a 3” gap between its bottom and the tub edge (water got everywhere). And lastly, the unforgivable… the toilet was loose and rocked side to side: the wax ring was obviously no longer sealing, so smells from the trap kept coming up. Why unforgivable though? Beside it being obvious to anyone who cleaned the bathroom, the caulk around the bottom showed that someone knew about it, but couldn’t be bothered to fix it properly.

I’ve stayed at this Marriot in the past and had a much nicer experience. My husband and I came in on a red eye and when checking in the front desk staff was less than friendly which was neither here nor there. The room was okay our bathroom had a broken curtain and chipping tub bht we were only staying one night so we dealt with it but in the past I’ve had a nicer room better staff experience. But the area surrounding the hotel is beautiful I would still probably stay here again in the future
