Overall the hotel and staff were wonderful. The only thing I noiced was a musty smell in my room when checking in. The bedding and bathrooms all looked clean, but there was a noticeable smell ( like wet towels).

This was the worst Marriott my family and I have stayed at. We paid a little more to come and relax in the hot tub after a long travel day. The hot tub was cold and the other guests were rude playing very loud music in the pool area and smoking right outside with the door open letting their cigarette smoke flow into the area. Our room had a very odd odor and there was black mold at the base of the shower that we had to step over to get into the shower. I had to make a noise complaint after midnight because the kids in the room above us were bouncing basketballs and yelling while we were trying to sleep. I’m very disappointed in this stay as we usually choose Marriotts for their facilities. If we stay over in the area again, we will not be staying here.

I've stayed here numerous times and ALWAYS rated it highly.This time, I had to switch rooms twice. My first two rooms were not as clean, the bathroom flooring was loose, handiwork was shoddy and one sheet was torn. The heat-a/c in the first room failed to set correctly. When I switched the first time, the people at the desk didn't even ask what was wrong with the room. The second time, the woman who helped me was the epitome of good customer service. I wish I could remember her name. She was older (like me, unfortunately!) and she could not have been more helpful. She really brightened my day with her smile, upbeat manner and fix-it attitude. It's because she was there that I'll give it another try.

I stayed for 4 days and i kept telling them that my fridge was broken and no one bothered to come check it out. My kids went to the pool and the water is not chlorine or clean, caught a tic from the pool.

Comfy stay
Clean and comfy. Stayed for a bball tournament. Laundry was out of order which was rough with stinky uniforms but we made due. Bartender and front desk and housekeeper were all awesome!

The front desk clerk Jordan was the perfect host, ensuring that my stay was as comfortable as possible from check in to check out. I brought my 13 year old, who loved the gym and pool amenities. A+++ hotel…and I don’t say that often!

I recently stayed at Courtyard Marriott York, expecting a clean and comfortable experience given its reputation. Unfortunately, my stay was far from satisfactory.
Upon arrival, it took 20 minutes just to receive our room key, and the front desk staff complained about only working two days—an unprofessional first impression. Once inside the room, the problems continued. A musty odor filled the space, and cleanliness was clearly lacking—hair covered the bathroom floor and carpet, and the room felt unkempt. There were no towels available, and when I inquired at the front desk, they had none to provide. The soap dispenser was broken, further emphasizing the lack of attention to detail. Additionally, the in-room coffee machine lacked coffee, forcing me to go downstairs to get some.
For a hotel carrying the Courtyard Marriott name, this experience was highly disappointing. Cleanliness, efficiency, and guest provisions should never be overlooked. I hope management takes immediate action to improve these conditions for future guests.
