I don't like leaving negative reviews because I understand things happen. Especially when I must say Embassy Suites has been our go to hotel. Unfortunately, we are going to have to switch to a different brand. It is understandable that hotel cannot stay “brand new” however routine maintenance of the rooms should be a minimum. The past few times we have stay it has been the same thing, the rooms have been run down. If it is not a newer hotel, the Embassy brand does not seem to do just a basic job of maintenance. Our most recent stay, the room was subpar at best. The bathtub was peeling, the furniture had so may stains on them my wife pulled the sheet of the bed just to sit on it, the wall paper had ripples in it, not bubbles but ripples. To top it off, we got bit by only what we can say were beg bugs. If it was for the poor maintenance, I would chalk the beg bugs up to what happens in the hotel industry, they are bound to happen even at the most expensive of hotels however, this hotel was so poorly maintained, it is more likely they have take not measure to control this. We have noticed this trend with older Embassy Suites Hotels, usually located in predominately minority populated areas. Really sad. The staff was nice and friendly but they can’t make up for the poor room. If we would have checked in earlier, we would have demanded a refund and went somewhere else.

酒店回复: Dear LEAK326, I'm very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We take pest issues seriously and go to great lengths to avoid them. Not only do staff members perform thorough inspections when cleaning the rooms, but the hotel also contracts a third-party vendor for preventative pest control monthly. Additionally, random inspections are provided by the Health Department on a semi-annual basis to ensure pest control and overall cleanliness standards are maintained. I hope this has restored your faith in us. We appreciate your business and hope you'll reconsider your return. Sincerely, Kyle Morrison General Manager

DO NOT STAY HERE OR BOOK YOUR RESERVATIONS! WE HAD A THIRD PARTY BOOK OUR RESERVATIONS AND THEY CHARGED US MORE FOR THE ROOM AND THEN CHARGED BY CARD FOR AN EXTRA 154.77 WHEN WE DID NOT GET ANYTHING ELSE! EMBASSY CAN NOT DO ANYTHING SINCE IT WAS A THIRD PARTY BUT DOES NOT SHOW THAT ON THEIR WEBSITE WHERE I BOOKED THE ROOM!

I sent the below to the Hotel directly in May and received no response whatsoever. I found my e-mail to the hotel and decided to post it Where do I begin? I booked my stay (4/27/24-4/29/24) at the Embassy Suites in Columbia, SC approximately 3 weeks in advance (confirmation #XXXXXXXXXXX). I booked a suite with 2 double beds. I called the hotel 4 days in advance to confirm the reservation, and to advise the front desk that I would be arriving late (approximately between 9:00-10:00 p.m.. I was told that would not be an issue. On 4/27/2024, sometime between 6:00-7:00 p.m., I called (what I thought was) the front desk, and was told that I did not have a suite, but only one king size bed, and no suite. I later learned that I was routed to the main Hilton number. Given that I was traveling with a friend, that was unacceptable. I told the representative that, and was told that the hotel was completely booked, and that she would have to "adjust" my reservation. I told her that I wanted to speak to her manager. Instead, she transferred me to the front desk of the hotel in Columbia, who also told me that she did not have my room, and that she only had a king and not a suite. At that point, I was very irate, given that I paid for a suite with 2 double beds. At that point, I explained that I paid for a suite, and would like to be transferred to her manager or a Hilton customer service representative. Thereafter, I was told she would move someone, and gave me my suite. . I am speculating that that hotel gave my room to someone else earlier in the evening. Later that night, there was a large party in the lobby, kids were running around the lobby and blasting loud music. Other residents started yelling down (given that it was 11:00 at night). Frankly, it appeared that the hotel manager had lost complete control of the situation, and was allowing certain guests to run rampant throughout the hotel lobby. By 12:00, the lobby finally settled down. There was one positive; in that, the cook making the omelets on Sunday morning 4/28/2024, did a great job managing the crowd. However, the bartender on duty (both nights I stayed) should really learn about customer engagement. I bartended for 3 years, and I think I remember the importance of making someone feel comfortable at the bar. She definitely did not do that. (If you don't like your job - find something else). For that matter, I did not feel comfortable (or safe for that matter) at the hotel, which is why I initially picked a Hilton Embassy Suites over the competition. This is supposed to be a flagship hotel for the chain – very disappointing. Frankly, this was one of the most unprofessionally run hotels in which I have ever stayed. I don't think I will stay at the Embassy Suites again and I will question staying at a Hilton again.

The room is dirty photos attached. No linens for the pull out bed so I requested they bring some. The woman who brought them seemed extremely bothered by the request. In room service has to be picked up which is not a big deal but odd. I’ve never stayed somewhere that doesn’t bring room service to the room. Certainly not worth the $600 I spent for 2 rooms for one night.

This place was the dirtiest hotel I ever stayed in. I am coming back to Columbia in a few weeks soI thought I'd check to see if the poor house keeping had improved, but apparently not. This place is night and day compared to the Embassy in Greenville SC.

Dear Intrigued Reader, I had read other reviews before staying; so, I think my expectations were where they needed to be. Facts: I did not have any problems with bathtub draining. The breakfast buffet is amazing. It was the highlight of my weekend. The Omelette Man made some swangin' omelettes. The coffee was delicious. And the bacon was literally perfect. Evening reception was delightful. The bartender was an angel and crafted me a jam-up Tom Collins; Respect to the Queen. The room definitely had a odd odor... It took me three attempts to successfully have a crib delivered to my room, and that was with me calling ahead and speaking with Tammy. I enjoyed the indoor pool and live plants, lush. The hotel is definitely in need of a hard and soft goods refurbishment, but to some extent, I enjoy feeling like I am in a time capsule, circa 1992, give-or-take. Room was dusty. Lamps specifically. But in all seriousness, I had questions about the Hilton Honors program, and the front desk lady could not answer my questions, and she was on a personal call while speaking to me, phone was laying on counter, on speaker phone, so whoever was on other end heard our entire conversation, yay! If this Embassy Suites honors free bottled water for Silver, I did not receive them. We were a party of 6 and I do appreciate and am thankful for the hotel being able to accommodate my family. Would I stay here again? Yes. I love Embassy Suites and I am dedicated to Hilton and attempting to maintain its elite reputation. Best regards, Cortnie.

Polite and friendly staff but the tired hotel needs a revamp. Dirty windows, dirty bath marred the room. Good layout. Breakfast was adequate. Pool was suitable for children. Shallow end 3ft, deep end 5ft. Cockroach on the final day was an added bonus.

The room were sub par clean, a big trash bag was left in our room after Saturday cleaning. I gave a two because Friday and Saturday staff was great but Sunday’s front desk Oct 6 manager was extremely rude and unwelcoming. I do not recommend this hotel at all. The breakfast staff was also great.

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. I booked this hotel for my kids using my diamond account for a professional soccer tournament. The rate was 1200 for one night. Yes you read that right. We got a cheaper rate the night before. The hotel is a dump. The pictures on the website are absolutely nothing like reality. Its dirty. Wallpaper peeling. Rooms not cleaned properly. Gross. I was able to deal with this through the Diamond desk and all was good. When my kids got ready to leave my sons EarPods were missing. My son tracked them to a home in Columbia. Every day they go from the home back to work at the Embassy. This has been going on for several weeks. Management ignores all calls for help. At this point it’s not even about the EarPods. It’s about the fact that a thief has been able to steal from a guest, we know who it is and the management won’t do anything. I’m Lifetime Diamond and support the Hilton brand exclusively. But this hotel is not ok. Management is not ok. Something needs to be done!

Had to go to 3 different rooms before we found one with working A/C. The manager was very helpful, however. The Terrace Restaurant was very surprising. We ordered Baked Salmon Green Beans, and Roasted potatoes. It was probably one of the best cooked, best tasting salmon I have ever had in a restaurant. Joi, the cook came to our table afterwards and we told her so. Breakfast was one of my favorite things back in the day. However, they used to put the egg in a pan and then the ingredients and then toss it around and get fancy. They poured a little egg on the griddle and heated the ingredients then put them on the little circle of egg. Which made a very small, very thin omelet, which did taste good, but it wasn't the same.
