Beautiful MVC resort! This resort is smaller than some of the other big MVC resorts on Hilton Head island but it isn’t lacking anything. We stayed in one of the Sunset pointe buildings and had a wonderful time. Everyone enjoyed the activities and the amenities. The resort sits right on the broad creek ( I think it’s called). So you can see boats and dolphins from your balcony. Also you can watch the shelter cove fireworks show right from the resort or even your balcony. We will definitely come again.

Im sorry a room without a window is not legal anywhere but here for many reasons! We felt claustrophobic, not safe with no egress, unable to get fresh air for my hot flash at night and unable to see if was raining outside. The hotel is nice, staff is friendly and location is good. But in all our travels we have never had a room with no window. This is not legal in most states and actually not legal for private residences in SC, so why would a $500 a night hotel think this is ok for paying guests at a luxury hotel? The hotel appeared half empty, so we felt they gave us the worst room on purpose because we used points rather the cash. I am updating this review to include that my husband feels the room is nicer then one star I gave (true its quite comfy) despite no now window but then the gym was closed and under construction so I will not be raising my star review. The hotel did offer to move us for one night saying a large party cancelled and did allow us to workout at a nearby marriot. This was far from a 5 star experience. The best features were the roof bar and the lovely breakfast cafe.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this resort! Everything was spotless, and the estuary was such a unique and beautiful highlight. We rented bikes right at the resort and rode to the beach, which was so convenient. They also offer a great, complimentary shuttle that takes you straight to the beach, near a restaurant with restrooms the whole family can use. Once at the shore, you can rent umbrellas and chairs, which made our beach day even better. During some weeks of the summer, they even have fireworks on Tuesdays over the estuary- a fun surprise! The gentleman running the bike rentals was incredibly kind, and we loved all the activities. A big shoutout as well to Jane, Daniella, and (I think his name was) Tyler at the front desk—they were all so helpful and welcoming.

If a Marriott Vacation Club owner and you trade through Interval, be prepared for a view of the parking lot even though most units have a great view! We’ve been before and returned hoping for a similar experience. This time I was told by a manager that there are tiers - owners, MVC points owners, Interval trades (MVC owner or not, you are all in tier 3), then 4th is paying guests. Unfortunately, management doesn’t seem to care about guests experience. Every morning there is some sort of text about either the pool being closed because of a storm expected in 2 hours or no coffee this morning. Another one was no water in the entire complex one evening while they fix a plumbing issue. There is never any sort of compensation or solution to thank us for the mishaps. Just an expectation for us to understand. Their bikes to rent are in bad shape and the “bike shop” we were told to go to took a long time for an employee to get there. We walked back to make sure we were at the right place and they said they paged him. They could have told us that to begin with - that he’d be there shortly so we weren’t walking all over looking for it. Also, he was not very friendly and didn’t really seem to care about the bikes we got or providing good customer service. We will go elsewhere next time.

The front desk was not helpful during the check in process. We were never told that there would be construction work occurring and loud noise throughout the day outside of our room. Very limit food items on property. I do not recommend the location.

This is one of the nicest and most relaxing places we have stayed with the Marriott resorts on Hilton Head Island. Clean, quiet and accommodating. The employees were extremely nice and helpful, especially Denise! Recommend the Serenity Pool as it is away from the larger pool and most of the smaller children. Great location and shuttle service to the beach was a HUGE plus!

It's been a year and much different weather, but still lots to do. Apocalypse 16 and Maycie work above and beyond in this cold to help the guests have fun. The people at the desk are kind and very respectful. Look for them to go far in life. Oh and as a solo visitor, I enjoy the daily txts to which I can respond in case of an emergency. A great use of media. Ms. B Thanks for my Birthday wine!

Condescending staff
The woman at the front desk was derogatory and condescending - presumably because we were not dressed well enough after a 10 hour drive. I asked if the building and and room number would be easy enough to find / obviously labeled, or if we needed any specific instructions to find it. Her response was “I have faith in you.” Do better. Room and property is great for what it is - anything that seemed a little dirty was because of age. Won’t be back, but fine for passing through, as long as you look the part, apparently.
