We were given an accessible room in the first floor than was dark and gloomy with bare single fluorescent bulbs in the fixtures and worn furniture. Asked for a different room, and the second was AWFUL and UNSAFE. Still shark, gloomy and worm. The wall behind the toilet in the bathroom was soft and moldy. They knew about it because it had been painted over multiple times without fixing the water problem. I flushed the toilet after using it and heard a “pop”. Water came gushing out from behind the wall and flooded the kitchen carpet on the other side of the wall. OMG. Got the hell out of that hotel as soon as I could. Marriott should be ashamed. The place should be condemned.

I don’t understand the reviews for this place! It’s spotless, on a pretty lake, free breakfast and parking and the workers are super nice! Is it older? Yes, who cares as long as it’s clean. They don’t deserve 1 stars. I am always honest in my reviews and I would recommend this hotel!

When we checked in we were informed that the electronic key system was broken for the entire property and not expected to be working for many days. The only way to gain access to the room was to go to the front desk and be escorted to the room so the hotel could open it. That alone was more than enough reason to leave but it was late at night and we had no options. The room itself was terrible. The carpeting was in very poor condition, the air conditioning did not work and the bathroom was not clean. We expect more from Marriott hotels and this turned us off the the Residence Inn brand.

25 year Titanium or higher Marriott traveler here. Booked a room for my wife and daughter all I can say is DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!! Short and sweet: They had to wear flip flops the entire time the room floors were so filthy Cockroaches in the room, know it’s Florida but…. No clean towels for 3 days, they were told an Asian man had hoarded them all, just can’t make that up No room cleaning fir three days despite housekeeping staff being on site Broken door locks At this point who cares but unreliable internet Attempted to address this with management, poor response at best hence the post. So long and short of it DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Marriott should be ashamed to have its name on this property. We were in a 2-bedroom penthouse. The upstairs sink did not drain. It caused a large bubble in the downstairs bathroom ceiling, just waiting to break. Lightbulbs out, all furniture worn to the point of barely acceptable. Front door flashing loose, making it difficult to close our exterior door. Cigarette burns in carpet and couch in a non smoking hotel! And more. Upstairs outside of room the decking had loose boards. Clearly dangerous.
