Only two other diners in the restaurant and after waiting 40 minutes for a salad I left. The clerk at the desk said they were short staffed. How hard is it to make a salad?

Hot sweaty stay at overpriced hotel
Was third in line for check in at around 4:30 pm. Took twenty minutes to get to me. Air conditioning was not working on a 90’/90% humidity day. Was first told it would probably be fixed by 6 pm. Later told that it would be fixed by 8. Finally came on at 9:30 pm. After an overnight flight and a long day I needed a comfortable place to rest. I was in the wrong place. To be fair, free bottled water was provided as well as access to a free shave ice truck. Was too tired to go anywhere so I sweltered in the heat in a very overpriced room.
