My only concern was the hot tub was broken and only one of the ice machine worked. We I book a hotel I try to include a hot tub

Broken hot tub
I only booked this room bc it said there was a hot tub.. went down to get in and there definitely wasn’t a working hot tub and hadn’t been in some time by the looks of it. Roman said it had 2 double beds and a sofa it didn’t so we had to sleep 3 ppl in a bed. Breakfast ladies were friendly!

When we arrived, the jacuzzi was broken. Since we were there for five days during a softball tournament, the manager on duty upgraded us to a room with a jacuzzi.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Nashville Smyrna is in a great location. The bed was comfortable, which is not always the case with hotels. Check-in was so easy & the host was very nice. However, there was a strong musty smell throughout the hotel, especially in the stairway and upper floors, not as bad on the ground floor. This greatly affected my sinuses, making it difficult to breathe & gave me a headache. There was a sticky residue from the cleaning product on the tables and chairs in the lounge.

We stay at this same establishment every year around the same time for a local event that is hosted. We continue to come back due to it being one of the only hotels that offers a room with a jacuzzi tub. Some of the staff has a lack of knowledge and is not helpful, the kitchen staff didn’t have the breakfast out until after an hour it was supposed to one of the mornings. And the man didn’t seem like it was an issue. So we left and went to eat somewhere else.

Good but could be much better
Staff was friendly and accommodating in trying to fix anything we brought to their attention. The floor and room we stayed in had a bad mildee smell throughout. It was a bit overwhelming.. the property definitely needs some renovations (water damage on ceiling, badly stained carpets, furniture has nicks and scratches, areas with wallpaper need fixing) but for a night it definitely works.

Daniel at the front desk was such a wonderful host. We were greeted with such warmth and friendliness that we both looked at each other and said “ That’s how it it’s supposed to be when you travel.” He took time to explain the hotel and answer all our questions. The room was a good value, very clean and quiet. Plenty of coffee stocked for the morning. Great water pressure in the shower. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant that you can walk to right next door.

All sites say free breakfast. There was no breakfast today - i asked if it was delayed and staff just said there was no breakfast today and would not give a reason. Overall the staff was friendly. AC in room is rather noisy. Must be one of the first Fairfield’s - rather old building. There was a strange rabbit made out of a washcloth and rubber band on the bed when we arrived - since the washcloth had stains, I asked the front desk if that was from staff but they didn’t know. Would have been a cute gesture if the washcloth didn’t have stains

After a long day driving we stopped here for the night.A nicely appointed room and super comfortable bed was a delight to be in. Breakfast was good. The staff recommended a walk to restaurant which was delicious. We will stay here again. Overall Fairfield is our favorite on road trips.
