This is my go to hotel for Asheville. It's not huge, clean, friendly, parking is easy and downtown is walkable.

All the staff here seemed completely put upon to do their jobs. The front desk people were often not around, the person who checked me in was curt, just handed my keys, and didn't greet. I went to the restaurant a couple of times--each time it was just one person working who rarely came to the table. They all seemed annoyed to be working. My hotel room had stuffing coming out of the chair. There is no printing/business station, so if you need to print you have to email it to the front desk and wait for them to print, which is inconvenient. Parking is 25 a day but there is a lot nearby where you can park free on weekends. For the money, this hotel isn't worth it, to be honest.

Sink and shower drains both backed up; obvious signs of significant wear and tear everywhere; room smelled like cigarette smoke; $25 self park fee exhorbitant given the amount of surface parking.
