The kitchen was fully equipped. The refridgerator was loud. The bathroom had a very sticky floor and lots of stains on the quartz counter top and in and around the tub. The shower body wash dispenser was empty when we arrived. And when we needed clean towels mid week, they did not have enough available - we had to ask again later that day.

Coffee maker did not work, a custodian in the hall did not understand or speak English. After showing her the problem she said ok. I took the coffee maker to her & indicted I needed another by hand signals so she gave me the one in the room she was cleaning. Bed was very soft, pillows were terrible & road noise could've been a little more quiet.
Room was clean & staff was friendly.

I come to Raleigh frequently to visit my brother, and Ialways enjoy staying here at Candlewood! The staff is so friendly, especially Nassim, and the bed is so comfortable. The room is always clean!

The room was very clean and bed was very fresh and comfortable! The coffee was not very good and had to pay 3.50 plus tax for a regular size bottle of water.
I would recommend updating the coffee choices and quality. Also have at least two bottles of water in the fridge in each suite.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Clean room. Toilet seat a bit out of line, but not a bother. Water pressure a little low for a shower. Front desk is great! Bed is much too soft and quickly became uncomfortable. After a couple of nights, I felt as if I had made a lasting impression on the mattress top. Same for the pillows. Room is quiet except you can hear every footstep made by the people in the room directly overhead. Pots, pans, dishes, etc. are good and useful, but some would work best in a regular oven than in a microwave. Icemaker is noisy, but they have a note on it saying to turn it off when you're there if it bothers you. There is a room where you can buy some basic food supplies, but grocery stores aren't too far away. There's also a good shopping mall nearby with a good variety of eating places. To get there, my GPS told me to turn at a traffic light onto a street name that wasn't what was indicated on the street signs, but I had seen a sign for the hotel and got there. There is no access directly off Lead Mine. The traffice getting out was a pain. There is a light to get you out onto Lead Mine, but the traffice backs up terribly for that light and also fills in all the turn lanes but for a right turn at the next light all the way back into the light to get you on that Lead Mine. I got a good laugh out of the recliner. It's too close to the wall and can be pulled away from that, but the laugh came when I came out of the recline position. It almost launched me out into the room.

The hotel can use some updating and cleaning. When I initially entered the hotel, I could smell someone cooking fried fish. I didn’t like that smell walking into a place that I will be staying in for the night.

Great location! Good for short stay centrally located. Unfortunately the room had a very bad smell I. It due to previous guests cooking in room. Our clothes all had to be washed due to the smell after trip.
Room was mostly clean and staff was great.
Again stay was very brief and accommodations were good other than the smell in the room.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was advertised as an accessible room and it did have a safety bar just as you step into the tub. But the tub was slippery, and there was no safety bar to grab if you slipped in the tub. I would recommend safety treads on the bottom of the tub, and perhaps a stool which could be kept in the closet. Sometimes we seniors have trouble standing in a shower or tub, and a safe bathtub stool would be helpful, A hand held shower would also be helpful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. However, the hotel structure was old and hallways did not always smell fresh.

The hotel was fine but unfortunately the room smelled like someone had been smoking in there. We mentioned this to the front desk.
