We enjoyed our stay at Fairfield. Came to take our son to college. Teresa, at the breakfast area was really helpful and attended our needs w/o having to ask.

In for one night to move son into school. As other reviewers have mentioned, the front desk staff is welcoming and very friendly. However, the hotel is in serious need of updating - one of the more dated Fairfield Inns I have stayed in. Also note there are still "smoking" rooms at this hotel or former smoking rooms. We were placed in one and the smell of smoke was overwhelming. We called the front desk and they were fortunately able to move us - but if you are sensitive to smoke or mildew you may want to consider someplace else to stay.

The experience begins when you check in. The hotel staff is amazing. They can't do enough for you. The breakfast is included and a great way to start your day. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was fine, clean and comfortable. The highlight of the stay, however, was our interaction with the staff who checked us in. Megan and Melissa were personable, friendly, helpful and caring! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. They made our stay great! Thanks!

This place was perfect! Had an absolute blast with the staff and felt really appreciated to be there. I love the new management and all the changes that came with them! It’s modern yet relaxed, very comfortable and quiet. I would recommend Fairfield Inn and Suites Bloomington to anyone looking for an inviting stay. Hospitality is their specialty!

This is a awesome hotel! The staff was friendly at checkin, our room was spacious, warm and clean. The shower was hot with pleanty of fresh towels and the bed was clean and warm. The continental breakfast was fresh and hot with pleanty of variety and the location was great with pleanty of shopping nearby. I enjoyed my stay here and I will definitely be back!

First impression was horrible. Weeds everywhere. Overflowing garbage at an awkward front door at the back of the building. Room had porcelain missing from the bottom of the tub with rust showing through. In my opinion this does not meet Marriott property standards. Worse the rates of over $300 a night was robbery given the condition of the hotel and property. The staff was very nice however that cannot make up for overpricing on a crappy, poorly maintained property.

This Fairfield offers a typical Fairfield room. Everything was clean and well kept. Our breakfast was excellent! They had a larger variety of options beyond what we normally experience. The staff is very friendly. I would return to this hotel.

Don’t assume this is a good place to stay because it’s a Fairfield. We try to pick Marriott property’s first but this one has made us gunshy for a while. First impression was hmmm, front doors didn’t completely close. Stepped inside and carpet was old/icky looking. The Marriott deco was newer and familiar but rest of area just looked unclean. Girl behind the desk was very nice and polite. Found our room, the door was propped open, bathroom light on, knocked, no answer so slowly went in. The bed looked like it had been used and fixed back by a toddler. Went down stairs and got a second room. That bed wasn’t made any better, the top bedding wasn’t king sized. The bathroom had not yet been cleaned, still hair and used soap in shower, hair on floor and in sink. The grout was grimy, and toilet seat about to fall off. All carpet needs replacing, walls painted, floor & shower tiles scrubbed of crud. Spent the next night, Not at a Marriott!

For the third year in a row, I stayed at the hotel for five nights to attend a conference. Megan was wonderful when I checked in at 10:00 pm on Sunday night. She was cheery and had a great smile even though it was late. On Monday and Tuesday mornings there was very little food for breakfast, no eggs or protien, only whole and chocolate milk, and no fresh fruit. I asked about the situation and was told that the health department had made the hotel dispose of all the food in their refridgerator because it was not cold enough. Tuesday, June 25th, a super cell storm hit Bloomington and the hotel lost power. Guests spent the night without electricity or air conditioning. This was not within the hotel's control and Megan was again helpful and I was able to get a mini flashlight from a fellow guest. Wednesday morning, no breakfast at all. I feel management could have done a better job for guests during my stay by going to the Kroger, about a mile away, to purchase breads, pastries, and fresh fruit for breakfast. Several staff members went above and beyond during my stay. I needed to receive a package and Corey was great to be on the lookout for the package and check for its arrival. Konner was very helpful to help me dispose of the food in my mini-fridge that spoiled due to the power outage. The hotel was clean and the room comfortable I am a Gold Elite Bonvoy member and am very loyal to Marriott brands. This experience will not affect my loyalty. I just feel management should have made an effort to deliver my usual Marriott experience.
